When I say it is a sentence, what I mean is, it is a sentence of dialogue.

A subtitle or caption, is a sentence, as defined by zoo when I asked them a year or so ago.

It reflects the number of subtitles or captions created and stored on the Zoo cloud. Not the number of words, this would be a huge number.

Is this figure the words that have been put into subtitles?

Over 300,000 subs added today according to the new ticker. It will be interesting to see how it creeps up over the weekend. If this is a typical day then this will equate to 8-9m new subs a month. At that rate we could hit the 100m in two weeks time.

Possibly, but the best defence would be to get the share price moving.

If you work on an EBITDA of 10 (sort of average for the industry they are in) then I can easily see an EBITDA of $2m this financial year ($0.9m at the interims). So you could argue that the business isn't far short of having a value of $20m right now.

I get the feeling that they are keeping below the radar for some reason. With a bit of financial PR (which costs money I guess) people could wake up to the potential here.

Depends where this is going. They would have had some insight when the options granted. 15p is high compared to share price at time . 48p is high as a conversion price. However the people setting these figures have the knowledge relating to exactly where the business stands and where it is going.£1 equates to a market cap of c £30million.Impressive the company is not lining the directors pockets but no doubt incentivizing them.

Not that significant really.... Doran and Gilder have 950k options each at different strike prices, all of which are currently under water.

To make few quid the share price will have to rise to 50p or so, making them 250k each (roughly).

They have fairly significant options. Last issued a year ago. Also salaries not high.I think situation not unreasonable.

Although I am encouraged by the holding of Dr Green (4m+ at 14.9%) I have to say that the holding by the other directors is less than minimal (188k).

With the potential here, a little director buying would provide great encouragement.

The value in the historical losses must be more than the market cap.Income in dollars expense in pounds.High margin growth business .

The interims showed $53m accumulated losses.

To my mind they have spend a shed load and now look ready top benefit.

In a growing niche, leading technology and some tier1 contracts.

And a great 83% gross margin to boot.

All for 3m market cap!!

ff2345 I don't know how much has been spent in total, but what I do know is that over the past 2-3 years a lot of investment has gone in, perhaps £2-3m. Most of this was by way of convertible loan notes with a 48p conversion price.
Why would you keep piling money in if you weren't very confident in one outcome or another.
A lot has been proved over the past 12 months and it is says in the recent presentation "the company is at a tipping point".

Agreed. I am in.

Am I right in thinking they have spent $53m on getting the business to where it is now? At breakeven and things looking up.

All for a 3m market cap?

I do believe things could get interesting here over the weeks and months plus we have the 100 million subtitle landmark to shout about very shortly.

I think if you look back over the past couple of years it is clear that the strategy here has been to invest in products and services which set Zoo apart from their competition. Hence the cash investment which has taken place. Their services are leaps and bounds better than their competition and they are now looking to exploit these, hence the recent and current recruitment.
The subs ticker is one indicator of this but I would also say that the interims were also an indicator of this having made a profit for the first time in a long time. AIMHO

Note on LinkedIn they have a new business manager. Ben Smith. Not a member so could not get full profile. Can anyone investigate. However impression given they have taken on a few recently. Also the vacancies on website indicate further expansion . Fits in with the updated ticker.

At the current rate of ticker growth we should reach 100 million by the 2nd/3rd week of Feb. I hope the company announces this and makes something of this landmark number.

Thanks philjeans. So that's an additional 55 million or an increase of 135%.
Wow, that's some increase considering it took 2 years to get to 40 million.

I notice the subtitle counter on the zoo website has been updated. I understand there was a problem linking this to changes that were made to the Zoosubs system some time ago and therefore it hasn't been an accurate reading. It now stands at 95,427,273. Anyone know what it stood at 12 months ago? From memory I thought it was about 50,000,000. If I am right then that's one heck of an increase over the past year!!
