24/4/2007 15:08 | Considering ZOO have only been in the software business for a couple of years, they aint doing bad. 100+ and growing users of the ZOO Extra software to create iDVD's. OK one country wont make ZOO rich but the software and iDVD's are finding usuage around the world. Studio suite, rapidly developing and increasing in sophistication, driven and in effect partially funded by Disney. Applications with all sort of DVD production outfits around the world, not just studios but anyone into mass DVD production, from films and tv series to education and training....its a very big market. A world market but a premium niche sector with very few competitors. Lets not kid ourselves, ZOO only has to turn over a few million to become very succesful...its only a small company with low overheads. With Sonic it can fight on both technology and price, not a bad place to be. Now we know it aint going bust, the question is how fast it can grow and how big it will get...:) | siwel100
24/4/2007 14:56 | Uz - the difference in 2005 was that December was when Zoo sold the majority of their video and iDVD games. What was looking positive became very negative once the sales figures for Christmas were seen. The streamlined Zoo is not going to have any such issues in the next few weeks as the revenues for last Christmas will all have been pocketed. | lurker2
24/4/2007 14:49 | Uz' you havent taken into account that TAS is being Hollywood studio developed and will be bigger and better for it. It is already a number of elements (about 6 add ons) bigger than the first release. I doubt that Sonic are that far in advance, the first version of TAS was made available to ea's in Octoberish whilst Sonic only came along this year. | artey
24/4/2007 14:47 | Poor old Aerotus, wrong footed again. What a pillock. | cosh285
24/4/2007 14:17 | Exeactly Artey, The client they refer to is most likely Disney or they would have said who else was using TAS. We knew about Disney years ago. So no new news imo. The only news is that the company is not going bust. Hardly earth shattering news. Company will plod along at cash value until the new sales team can demonstrate they are earning their corn as they will be a hefty new overhead causing increased cashburn. I am sceptical they can bring in the bacon as only Disney bought the Regionalisation Tool. With TAS being delayed, Sonic have already knocked on the doors and will no doubt be embedding their technology as we speak. It is very hard for a studio to change tools mid stream so the future outlook for TAS, when it is finally completed, seems grim. Disney get a bespoke service from ZOO which sucks all their resources in. In return Disney pick and choose if they even use TAS and when they do they pay ZOO only a royalty. One or Two NEW deals will signal the companys exit from reehab. Until then this company is still a loss maker with a very dubious reputation for updating investors. Be warned, it was only December 2005 that ZOO told investors they were on course to meet projections. 3 weeks later they turned around and said the opposite. Shameful. New investors should also be mindful that at somepoint their investment will be diluted when the loan notes are converted to shares. | uzbekking44

24/4/2007 13:09 | Opmoc...I think Zoo felt sorry for him so gave him the job of writing their press releases. As I understand it he was fine with "super" and "wonderful" but choked and died at the word "growing". The funeral was a private affair attended mainly by fat ladies moaning they could no longer lose weight now they had lost their sensei. There are still a few chain smokers siting at the grave awaiting the resurection. Its believed that Jacobjohn is still in contact but then he also chats regularly to Stalin, Gengis Khan and Charles I, so we are a bit unclear on what messages he will bring us. | siwel100

24/4/2007 12:30 | lewis, Congratulations on your faith that the parrot wasn't dead. However, I bet it is still loss making with relatively piddling revenues.... But the real issue is what have you done with Cashmagnet? Has he been carted off? It seems a bit unfair. Tony | opmoc
24/4/2007 12:25 | no just people who rush in without thinking that a rise like this often has a pullback | dope007
