waldof, I believe it is the other way around: ZOL get paid in dollars but report in roubles. I would assume that most of their local costs are in roubles. The company has being going about things in a professional and methodical fashion. I have no doubt that the main shareholders gave a $12 million interest free loan because everything they have seen indicates a massive increase in reserves. In my opinion, the patient shareholder will, in due course, make a lot of money.

Maybe Paperclip...but ZOL get paid in rubles and report in dollars.
I may be sounding unduly negative on ZOL of late so would like to say i have sold no shares, not short etc etc and still believe there is massive upside, just when is the question.

In US dollars, the natural gas price in Russia is at its highest in over 2 years. And, for what it's worth, Brent is trading at over US$80!

All good and true comments from you pc and waldof. It's all about time. My shares are bought and paid for. I won't be selling before 100. Whether that be this year, next year, sometime or never. ?

I hear you Bernie but for a start we do not produce any oil at the moment - i feel pretty sure in saying - and would be a long way off, that is the other asset and they are still looking for a partner to work with on that.
Secondly the ruble is not in good shape thanks to Vlad' and sanctions etc.
Thirdly the very mention of the word Russia makes most institutions run a mile.

clearly there is massive ' value' here on any sensible metric but a phrase from Warren B comes to mind.

" the market can remain irrational far longer than investors can remain solvent "..or some such!

I agree with that BB. This company seems very well managed. The main shareholders have just put in a $12 million interest free loan, and experts are being brought on board to enhance prospects of a massive increase in reserves/value. Sometimes being patient is difficult, but in this case I believe it will be very, very rewarding.

I hear your pain waldof but it is unfortunately the value put on the company by the market. Zol have never been ones for lots of RNSs and all you can do is trust your original judgement and hope that in the end true value will out. For far too long now that hasn't been the case. However, I like paperclip do believe that we are close to transformational news here. Oil will be the me. We just need sentiment towards Russia to improve and all of a sudden we will be back up in the 50p to 100p range wishing we'd bought more at 5.75p.

Seem really serious appointments. Really looking good here. As we have said so many times this just has to be one of the most undervalued stocks on AIM. I also like the line 'and develop any other assets that we may acquire in the future'.....

While not the Annual Report, the RNS this morning shows that the powers that be at Zoltav are really serious about increasing reserves. I like the following line "Zoltav's commitment to enhancing the value of its significant Bortovoy asset through exploration is evident in the appointments of these highly accomplished former Bashneft and TNK-BP technical executives".
