a1samu, what is your assessment of our current predicament? we have had no bad news, infact most of the news/updates that we have had have been pretty upbeat. is it just that we are an unloved oil share? the sector as a whole is going through a good phase with some exceptions!

Well, having re-entered this at 40p I have finally decided it's worth taking the hit and have sold out to put the money, what's left of it, into EME.

I wish all long-termers the very best and I really hope that ZOL will come very good for you.

Everything is out of zol's hands, good future prospects but all hangs on politics, all depends on how much pressure Putin is under to improve the Russian economy, if willing to ease tensions in Ukraine and Syria the west will reduce sanctions, the Ruble will strengthen and we will start to make some big profits- current m/cap 24m should easily be 3 or 4 times that. Could easily see no improvement though if the current path continues. This is a great summary of our position.

The people that own Zol are multi millionaires and fund raise serves no purpose when paying to dilute there own holdings. Watch this fly on Tump/Putin favourable news for Russia.

I know what you mean but we could ask if a fundraise could be on the agenda. With some companies on AIM it's possible to get little snippets of info. Never tried with Zol.....

I think that would be a waste of time BernieBoy. First, I imagine Investor Relations don't know. Furher, if they did know, and were to tell me, it would be a breach.

Exactly paperclip thus the potential reasons for any fundraise would as we suggest seem to be quite transparent.....perhaps someone could drop investor relations an email and ask! I am on holiday until August so not online.....

BernieBoy, the fundamentals are fine. Zol is making a profit. It has sufficient cash for any known needs. It has made a profit even with low energy prices and a weak rouble.

I think we are just an unloved oil and gas company with its roots in Russia. All unloved companies with good solid operating performance come good eventually don't they?

I'm not so sure tbh. We really don't need one. It's only as paperclip suggests that it would help to bring down the average price for the big holders. But of course they would say it's for an acquisition or jv. But we really don't need one otherwise with the company creating cash do we?

Paperclip it does make sense tbh. The major shareholders must be pretty annoyed with the share price performance to date. It just doesn't make any sense. I still think back to all of those new investors too that came in several months ago between 25 and 35 too when the new NED came on board. They all appeared suddenly for a reason but nothing has of yet materialised.....

Shambaby, I agree that the company is a LTH. I suspect that the weakness has to do with a prospective placing. How about 70 million as 16.5p? That would raise about $15 million and dilute non participating shareholders by 50%. It would allow the major shareholders to increase their holdings and reduce the average price of their holdings. As there is still plenty of cash to meet the needs of the company, the placing would most probably be effected to buy another asset or to raise funds to pay for Zol's share of some joint venture activity. The share would probably double quickly after that. This is just an opinion, of course; I'm probably wrong.

Not sure it would be of help to them paperclip as they would still have to stump up the cash to be part of it. I am in for another 10k anyway. This time at 18p!
