Think I'm on a fools' errand hoping for a retrace... this is a long-term hold so probably won't be many choosing to cash in on a 1 penny rise

Almost bought in today at 4.7 but just held off from pressing the button only to see the ask rise to 5p... a frustrating biz this sharedealing game. If I have another chance at 4.7 I plan to pounce :)

It has had some interest on III website discussion too. I too am currently sitting on the sidelines thinking should I have gone back in?

I had been buying small amounts every month for over a year getting gradually more shares each month a sthe shares fell but they eventually reached a point around 4.25p where I had seen enough of a fall and sold.

Well done those that bought in.

So frustrating! Been researching this share for the past few days without buying in (always research first, buy second after a bad experience earlier this year) and it's shot up 30 percent in 2 days! Meanwhile muggins here is sat on the sidelines with a pad of notes and no profit to show for it!

[sigh] Have to be patient now and wait for an unlikely retrace... No doubt the likes of Britishbulls will give this the Buy Confirmed treatment tonight and scupper my chances of getting in cheap!

There is a link on the OIL thread to a report(worth reading) by Global Witness(2 years in the making) that concludes we are in for a serious oil supply crunch.If true ZRX is going to have a very busy and prosperous time supplying oil companies racing to find new supplies.

Cheers, found that out already though. Was asking about just the oilfield chem products. The article below says Well Stimulation and Enhanced Oil Recovery products will be the big growth areas over the next few years so if Zirax is geared towards those areas that'll be a big plus.

according to its website, ZRX has three business segements- Oilfield Process Chemicals, De-icing Solutions and Industrial Chemicals.

I take it they sell additives to the oil industry but what sub-sector are their products classed under?

Stimulation Chemicals
Drilling Fluids
Production Chemicals
Cementing Chemicals
Completion & Workover Fluids
Enhanced Oil Recovery Products

Some of these have different outlooks for the next few years with Enhanced Oil Recovery and Stimulation Fluids forecast as high-growth, Production Chemicals forecast as low-growth.

Or is it that Zirax's products operate in a variety of roles? i.e. the use of calcium chloride in cementing, drilling and in enhanced oil recovery?

And is this a seasonal winter stock? With the de-icers and the Moscow contract etc? Meant to be a cold winter this year so is now the right time to buy in? 2 weeks to go until the Moscow sub-zero temperatures kick in...

Certainly the increase in oil prices could give rise to a resurrection of investment in the sector and an increase in drilling going forward.

7. Subsequent events
On 25 June 2009, the $3,324,000 deposited at Inkarobank was temporarily
deposited in another bank. On 2 July 2009 the deposit was returned to Inkarobank
and converted into promissory notes which can be redeemed on notice to
Inkarobank not before 28 June 2010. As a result, the Group ceased to hold cash
or cash equivalents of $3,324,000 and commenced to hold the promissory notes
referred to above. Subsequently, on 23 September 2009, the promissory notes were
converted into a 3 month cash deposit.

Does this mean we have got some of our money back ?????????

Mayor of Moscow announces plan to put a freeze on snow in the city

Yuri Luzhkov has said that snow should be banished from Moscow in winter to save money and improve life in the city. He claimed that farmers outside the capital would enjoy more abundant harvests if his cloud-seeding programme was adopted. Mr Luzhkov noted that city authorities already used such techniques to break up rain clouds and guarantee good weather on important public holidays.

The contract for Moscow is both hard fought and politically involved. Price sensitive and also awarded in several 'blocks'.

Good news that it is won again for those still holding.

But as is pointed out the contract is for more product for the same or less US$. Now I am not a currency exchange expert but I think I have read the exchange rate for the Russian currency has fallen agaisnt the dollar so we may find that the contract is for the same Russian Rubles but is quoted as a lower amount of US dollars.

On balance this was expected and I'm still not seeing a reaosn to buy back in - though I am still watching.

Nevertheless it is an achievement(it could have lost the contract)! With the European winter still several months away there is still time to win more contracts, whilst its suppliers are under much tighter control.

Since it has held this contract for several years it has already been in a position to do this for a long period of time but apart from a comparatively small contract ($1.5m) with Bucharest, it has conspicously failed to make any real headway so far.

Contract is for more product than last year but value is less than last year! What's that all about? In 2006/7 this contract was worth $12.5 million to the company, look at it now!

Wins the seventh consecutive Moscow de-icing contract; which must be a feather in its cap and an achievement to wave in its quest to secure contracts in other major cities in Russia and Europe. Having sorted out the recent production and supply problems in Italy, we could see ZRZ share price move ahead this year.

There was a piece in today's FT on the Russian banking crisis saying that the Russian government is finally attempting to deal with the private sector banks but it sounds as though it may be a case of too little, too late.

Does anyone have an idea which bank is sitting on our money?
