22/7/2009 12:56 | The results were as expetced - the interims 6 months ago encapsulated the loss (Woolies, Baked Snacks) and the remedial action has been taken. Debt levels less than expected and turnover really well up. This looks good for a run now- they have broad enough portfolio of products to manage business growth. OK, that reads like a ramp but I think the company statement is an honest enough account and there seems some relief and confidence permeating it. I'd like to see an early appt of the FD. ANy thoughts out there? | silverfern
21/7/2009 13:52 | looks like the chart is heading for a breakout | gucci

24/6/2009 17:11 | Still a while to go til results - supermarkets are doing well and the woolworths loss should be behind the cmompany now. The placing was a triumph, coming at 20% over share price at the time; now looks like a good investment. I have a lot of time for the Board, not least because of Blackburn and Beecham's record, but also they were early with a real 'nut free' policy , giving those with severe allergies real choice. I will up my investment over the next month (and cross my fingers..:>) | silverfern
15/6/2009 07:56 | thanks for that - TMI used to recommend this too; maybe they still do. | silverfern
13/6/2009 16:51 | Main write-up in SCSW this month. 2009 Eps=19.6, p/e=7.9 2010 Eps=33.5, p/e=4.6 Should get some interest next week. | aishah

08/5/2009 13:42 | I decided to buy back in today - ZTR made me plenty up til 2007 and I sold at 500p. THe gap looks too inviting and I would hope these double from here over the enxt 18months. IN the current market of course it really is DYOR and cross fingers. | silverfern

08/5/2009 09:25 | Broker finncap note on Zetar out just now - dont say i never share my stuff Zetar (BUY) Charles Pick A positive trading update with revenues from Confectionery better than expected and ditto the level of year end net debt. "Significant new business wins" in both divisions also receive a mention. Coming in the wake of the sale of the heavily loss-making Baked Snacks business a week ago, this news flow should ensure a mini re-rating. The update is positive on 3 counts. First Confectionery sales of £75m (+10.3%) were well ahead of our projection, albeit essentially due to the brisk Easter trading of Kinnerton that Cadbury and Thorntons have also commented on. Hence PBT for 2008/09 will be "comfortably in line" with forecasts. A second plus is that year end net debt of £16m bettered the £18m we expected after allowing for the recent Placing; a function of good results and tighter cash management. The third plus is that "significant new business wins" have been recorded by both divisions. Recall how Zetar management was upbeat last January about the scope offered by a weak £ to regain business lost to imports and in February raised £2m net via a Placing to pursue sales opportunities. Kinnerton's share of the Easter egg market is said to have increased to 5%. Its Ben 10 and High School Musical licenses also performed well. We raise our forecast for 2009/10 to £6.2m for fully diluted EPS of 32.6p. | gumarabic

24/3/2009 15:08 | Big trade today dragging price down (40% lower than Jan). Any info on what is going on? | pakomacha
01/12/2008 08:00 | annoucenment out- only represents 2% of turnvoer but the amount , if they fail to recoup any of it, will lower profits by 15% this year. And now they have to find another customer of equal weight. I wonder how mnay other suppliers are similarly hit. | silverfern
30/11/2008 10:04 | Ouch: WOOLWORTHS LEAVES ZETAR WITH A SOUR TASTE Zetar, one of Woolworths' biggest suppliers, is set to lose one million pounds as a result of the retailer's fall into administration. David O'Brien, an analyst for Altium Securities, Zetar's house broker, said Christmas deliveries have been completed with no credit insurance for Woolworths' suppliers, so the cost to Zetar could be up to one million pounds. Business with Woolworths is understood to account for three percent of Zetar's sales. | silverfern
15/10/2008 21:49 | Printed off the trade from my account and showed them. Nb sorry silver but have in the past done plenty off this sort of thing and rarely get any thanks. My apologies. | robbie12 |
