They've delayed the purchase then. Rumour is they're going to try for the 2900 BPD from Z21 first and then decide what to do.

Someone over on lse asked "Wasn't the placing price suggested at being in the 40p to 50p range"

That was when optimism was at an high, and cattaneo's spiel held some sway...since then they have not completed any workovers, and at present the company is relying on a rising oil price to keep the doubters quiet..

IF only Zen were half as efficient as TXP in getting oil flowing, then there would be no complaints!!

TXP heading for 2,000 bopd in short order, and well under valued compared to cerp, who are producing around only a quarter of TXP and has a market cap nearly three times higher!!

EDITED!!!.. CERP approx £35mil mkt cap... TXP mkt cap approx £21 mil.

Agree with you Grannyboy, Think the no follow through on the chart showed how little optimism there is these new workovers will come to anything (though to be fair volume has been up since)
Not 100 percent sure I agree with the idea they're trying to distract with a new asset yet though.
Reckon myself the last RNS shows they're giving up on working the small producers and hoping to hit 1000BPD+ from working over the best prospects they can find. Hence the mention of 2900BPD.
If/when that fails then they'll move the focus...

Yes Andy, you have to look at this share logically.. And seeing as the share price ended the day 'exceptionally underwhelmed', then the only conclusion to come to, is improvement is drastically needed, but will not necessarily materialise!!!

It looks like the market has digested the last rns and think the list of wells the company plans to be worked over are just wistful thinking by a company that has failed to complete one successful worker in 'well' over a year..and as in the past, is just another ploy that took the heat off another delay at Z21..

Charts not looking so bad, definite breakout has occurred and today a gap up from the 50 on the newsflow.
Zen looks to be stabilising/recovering. Can they keep the updates positive and make it a buy?

And yes those sort of articles are often an indication the pre-placing pump is underway, we shall see.

If they do Proactive and/or Shares soon we can be sure it's underway.

Does sound a more realistic RNS today and quite approve of their going for bigger targets (presume thats what they're doing?) and do actually believe the statement at the bottom..

"It has been a long journey to arrive at where we are at now. Our understanding of the field and its vast potential is increasing day by day. Z-21 has the potential to be the most significant operation for the Company since it began operations in Azerbaijan. We are working day and night to achieve the resounding success we all deserve. I look forward to reporting on our progress in due course."

Its just this is ZEN damn it. Can they really get it right?

Well I'm sure he didn't travel out to Azerbaijan for his health (but listening to him speak gives the impression he's constantly out of breath)...although Chelsea was playing the day he went out..so wasn't a total waste of time.

If malcy does say anything positive, it would contribute to the expected pumping before a fundraise!!

A Zardab operational update this morning and the company has prepared an extensive study in preparation for the development drilling programme in Azerbaijan. Well data from the Muradkhani and Jafarli oil fields have identified new, previously unexplored Mesozoic carbonate prospect running across the two fields. The preliminary findings of the ongoing geological study have encouraged the company to increase the scale of its operations in the Zardab field. With so much information revealed today I hope to report again tomorrow on COO Mike Palmer’s extremely optimistic report On Zardab and in particular on Z-21.

To prove up the reserves they need to start getting the oil out..so far all they do here is expand the field and claim there is zones covering two fields, along with a 'wish list's' of future drills...With this companys record don't expect any completions this side of the century!!!..


And it would appear that SEA7 has jumped backed in, ready for a hoped for quick .50p rise..

And even the coo statements are getting shorting and less optimistic..
