No Gismo, I found you as a follower and went from there. At about the same time I came across reco and it stood out like a beacon, so thought I’d mention it here.

It’s risky of course, but what isn’t? I hope you can manage to acquire a few! The charges are higher than normal, but should more than compensate for that over the next year or so.

I’ll email you

PUGUGLY, thanks for that.

To be honest, as with all frontier investing, it comes down to many things, eg, hope, intuition, investigation and nerve. If Reco have found just about the last great oil basin on the planet, then I hope, rather than expect, that they are able to carry on drilling wells, right through Namibia into Botswana, a vast area, with the continuing assistance of those two countries governments.

I would imagine they will find a partner at some stage, probably after they have drilled at least 3 wells, they are presently drilling the 2nd of 3 wells, the first having found oil and gas.

Anyway have a look here…. And good luck. Btw, I changed my broker in order to trade the TSX and RECO

Hi both Gismo and 25, hope you are both well? And B btw!

I don’t hold here btw, in fact first visit!

If you have a spare moment, take a look at reco (reconnaissance Africa) a Canadian explorer drilling in onshore Namibia..looks very good to me. Trades on the TSX market..I think it’s found something very big.

Won’t say any more

X

Indeed. I'm afraid I've just given up waiting. Didn't lose much overall - and it could have been much worse - but I already have several stocks (and in bigger size) that require some patience and I think others have a better shot at coming good sooner....So....I expect Sods Law to be applied quite soon.....

The 'Great Game' - Africa edition - continues : Macron suspends aid to Central African Republic, claiming govt. is 'hostage ' to the Wagner group (Russian mercenaries), meanwhile the Russian Ambo in C-B announces an expansion of scholarships for Congolese to study in Russia...

Meanwhile, paint continues to dry.

The son also rises...

Today's hxxps://www.lesdepechesdebrazzaville.fr/ carries p4 an interview with Nguesso fils on his taking charge of the new ministry for International Co-operation and public-private partnerships (COIDIC's idea , as was).

Salient points :

- Parliament needs to pass a law authorising PPP's , since one doesn't exist atm;

- he feels that the business climate in Congo needs to be improved, to make investment safer (Ed.: a good start might be to have a word with your Dad...and a look in the mirror); and

- there will be a 'national preference' policy for smaller investments and foreign investors limited to larger ones .

So, the lad's starting with a blank canvas : no PPP structure in place....and (on the face of it) 'international co-operation' on Congo's terms.

Blank canvas......or blank cheque...?

"The President's son, Denis Christel Sassou Nguesso ,will head up the newly-created ministry of international cooperation and public-private partnerships."

If this isn't a reason to start a new China-Congo PPP double-quick so Denis can fill his boots I don't know what is!!!

...oh wait, what level of rip-off in said PPP will China accept? (...and what's left for Glencore? And what's left for Jumelles....and ZIOC????)

GTA.

Gismo, ours is in the ground where it's likely to stay for a good while yet. If they can't sell this project now they never will. Considering Trahar is in charge of investor relations he's doing a pretty poor job. People taking his silence as a positive are being led up the garden path

Nope. I raised all the pertinent Q's I could think of but - absent a reply after the weekend - expect they'll hold off on any info until they're obliged to say something.

ZIOC has to issue its final 2020 results by 30 June (unless they apply a covid extension argument, which would be pretty feeble).
