22/5/2007 22:04 | malkie, why is this so good, the nickel grades dont look that exciting, and it seems a fair way from port. please explain if you have time why this is the dogs gonads? RoL >>>>>--------------- | robin_of_loxley
22/5/2007 22:03 | so the nickel is not that hot but the uranium may be? I remember lookign at the uranium prospects a few months ago and not being that fired up, but had it on my cold radar have zni actually got the cash to do the explo? what further placings do you think required and when - I need to flick back at looking at the uranium. This doesnt advance the projects for me necessarily, just juggles ownership and maybe opens up more access to cash, how much is needed I need to understand, and also how near term the upside may be. no advice intended, RoL >>>>>--------------> | robin_of_loxley
22/5/2007 22:03 | TP - thanks for the thread, just what we need! ...and what a schtonking find ZNI is!! Dipped my toe in the water this morning and will look to add - a uranium I nickel play with an enterprise value of £1.4m!! We often moan about RNS's released after hours, yet for once here the PI has been given an unfair advantage! nice exciting addition to my portfolio. For anyone who was at the Minesite presentation - did this get a mention via the ZRL link??? cheers malc | malkie
22/5/2007 21:58 | responded on rgm robin. I guess 18months away from uranium (and probably Nickel) JORC but could be wrong. Certainly some very attractive prospects but very early stage. ZRL (much as with RRR) wanted this out of the main company. I can only speculate why but probably: - shifts the costs of exploration elsewhere - it's easier to realise the value in the uranium portfolio if it is separated from the noise of the other projects (eg ZRL Cheowa JV with Glencore) - and in the case of ZNI it was a handy way to get the business back on the tracks with purpose after the difficulties of Mitaba in 06. I like the story, I like the lowly cap and tiny enterprise value and I think it has potential... and it is off radar... IMHO | tippingpoint
22/5/2007 21:54 | why no jorc resource yet tippign point? see my post on rgm and also, what are the implications re for example how to get it to port - how good are the roads etc... also, theres a commitment to spend $3m under the JV is there not? no advice intended, RoL >>>>>--------------> | robin_of_loxley
22/5/2007 20:09 | Here is the best bit from the header: The really interesting point is that the company, now in both the uranium and nickel sectors (both of which are heating up nicely), has a market cap at 4.5p mid of £3.3mn. This equates to an enterprise value of just £1.3mn after deducting £2mn cash. That for me makes the investment prospect fascinating. Probably the lowest priced uranium stock on AIM, but I imagine not for very long imho. | tippingpoint
22/5/2007 20:07 | Posted a few bullets above - will try to add more over the coming days. Any thoughts would be really great. This is completely off radar. The news last evening led to one post last night and none today. Best time to invest in a stock is when nobody else is there. Except me of course lol. | tippingpoint
22/5/2007 19:50 | In simple terms here is the position at 22 May 2007: ZNI - Zambezi Nickel was until yesterday a Nickel explorer in Zambia and Mozambique. The company now has: - at least £2mn in cash - a heads of agreement will ZRL - Zambezi resources to form a Joint Venture on various Uranium licences currently held by ZRL, including the highly interesting Oryx licence area where rock chips assays on Davidite material showed up to 6.4% Uranium - a exploration strategy that will hopefully lead to a 'fastrack' JORC resource and Uranium mining proposition - an underlying Nickel business with a developing story in Mozambique (where BHp Billiton have a right to step back into the licences if the exploration finds a large resource and a historically challenging - but going forward interesting lateritic nickel story at the Zambian licences - a solid, experienced management team to drive the company forward - a sound partner in ZRL who have a 49% interest in the company - a placing just accomplished at 5p, with £2mn raised at 25% higher than the market mid price The really interesting point is that the company, now in both the uranium and nickel sectors (both of which are heating up nicely), has a market cap at 4.5p mid of £3.3mn. This equates to an enterprise value of just £1.3mn after deducting £2mn cash. That for me makes the investment prospect fascinating. Probably the lowest priced uranium stock on AIM, but I imagine not for very long imho. Company website (it needs updating): 22 May 07 rns re uranium/placing: Management team: Feb 07 Nickel report (with ZNI coverage - good summary of the old company): ZRL March 07 presentation with U details: Latest U exploration results posted by ZRL two weeks ago: ALL imho | tippingpoint

08/11/2006 18:57 | RNS Number:6582L Zambezi Nickel Ltd 07 November 2006 7 November 2006 Zambezi Nickel Limited ("Zambezi" or the "Company") Director Resignation Zambezi (AIM Code: ZNI), the AIM-quoted African nickel exploration and development company, today announces Paul Rankine has resigned as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and from the board of directors with effect from today, but will continue to act as a consultant to the Company. Zambezi Nickel continues to explore and develop opportunities for possible nickel prospects in the SADC region and exploration has commenced at the Mavita Project in Mozambique." not looking good ! | currypasty
08/11/2006 12:12 | Hell fire. That is one hell of a drop on hardly any volume. Is this one going down the tubes? Their prime site seems to be dead and so they hope to start again elsewhere. | e-boffin
28/9/2006 22:15 | Zambezi Nickel Still Awaits Positive News From Mitaba Nickel Project By Jack Hammer As is the way with these things, everyone ended up waiting much longer than expected for Zambezi Nickel's most recent announcement. A couple of weeks ago Zambezi chief Paul Rankine explained that the delay was because the company was sitting in "legal limbo land" waiting for lawyers to sign off on what turned out to be the company's acquisition of old WMC ground in Mozambique. Lawyers certainly know how to hold things up, as a quick look at recent listing documents for regional peer Platmin shows. Platmin's prospectus runs to 450 pages, and that's only a rough guess, because whoever had the job of numbering the pages obviously got sick of the whole enterprise and gave up typing in the numbers on page 287. .. more .. | wassapper
