On to the risers, Z Group stole the show with a monumental rise, up 3-1/2 to 5.375 -- a rise of 187 pct -- as speculation grew that the company was being primed as bid target.

Earlier this morning, Z Group announced Ian Smith had acquired a 10 pct stake in the company and Marcus Yeoman had purchased a 5 pct stake, with Elizabeth Wilkinson and Gareth Mallet disposing of shares representing 15 pct of the share capital.
