Indeed looks like people getting in early prior to trading update, also a lot of news around energy, tax breaks, billion put aside to cover SOLR etcAll looking very positive for 2022 and turnover at these high prices will rocket for new contracts never mind the 38% uplift in client numbers which we should get details on the retention rate

I suspect TU will be around the same time if not later, as a lot more complicated this time around then last. Let's be realistic in saying 100 %plus gains in one year and even more if you cashed in at 3.60. So I will take that any day of the week and whether its early Jan or Feb, the market will react accordingly eventually!

Yeah, it I would not be surprised if earlier as they will know the rough figures for the year by Monday so personally if I was YU would surprise with a pre trading update.Swift paragraph simple stating record turnover, record revenue , record profit further details will be provided in the trading update at the end of Jan.Now that is how you get stock momentum going

Would have been nice to get a pre trading update prior to trading update in Jan, seems a lot of companies doing it, called good PR. YU still have not learned this basic lesson yet.

Very well made points, Sparky. Have to agree with you - folks have yet to see that Yu are ahead of the game, and some PR would do wonders. Hopefully, the numbers will finally do all the talking for them instead...

If YU retain the majority of the Ampower clients and say a 20% increase through organic growth turnover could be way over £250m next year if not more , I suppose it depends when hedges are done on new contracts and what happens to the spot price in Q1 to Q2 next year

It's all about keeping investors engaged and informed. We all know YU are doing okay and if not they have to inform the market so all good, but sometimes you need to be pro active and sing from the rafters.Year nearly over, fantastic 2021, record revenue, record bookings, record profits, very positive for 2022 regardless of record energy prices.Also investors seems to forgot record energy prices = record turnover as new contracts are renewed this will have a material impact on 2022 revenue figures because something that cost say 10 in Q1 21 now costs 40 to 50 ergo turnover increases.Overheads are static so any increase in revenue giver higher net margins I just do not think people have any idea with regards to YU and this is why they need to RNS more.

Agreed. One of mine did that and share price went up 32% on the day with 1st quarter update to follow.

What would be nice just prior to Xmas is a pre trading update as I see a few companies are doing that and then the main trading update mid Jan.Doesn't have to say much, strong 2021 , record revenue and profits, blah blah blah A few lines like that , something YU need to learn it's call PR. They have improved but still a lot to learn.
