Matched bargain

Matched bargain trading systems are order driven, rather than quote driven as market maker based systems are. Investors' offers to buy and sell securities are directly matched with each other. This contrasts with a market maker driven system where investors buy and sell to market makers.

The disadvantage of a matched bargain system is that it can not guarantee liquidity. With a market maker system the market makers are required to provide liquidity, so that investors are always able to buy or sell shares. This does not apply to large quantities.

For shares that are in any case very liquid, a market maker system is not needed to ensure liquidity, which is why the London Stock Exchange uses a matched bargain system for the most liquid shares (e.g. FTSE 100 shares), a market maker system for moderately liquid stocks and a matched bargain system for the most illiquid shares (which are so illiquid as to make market making too risky and impractical).

Now i know they are manipulating Ive bought 5000 at 25.75 and conveniently they don,t show it somebody sells 5000 and they do and drop the price 1p. its a fiddle. JIM

Bought another 5000 at 8.10 am again must have gone through on the plus market, whatever that is? up to a few weeks ago any buys of mine just went through the normal way when did this plus thing start and what is the point of it ? anyone?.... JIM

50k buy on Friday, large for YSP, hopefully a well informed buyer. Start of some heavier buying up to the results on 7th Oct or there abouts perhaps.

I think that there must be something going on at the moment- there is a lot of mm movement(well for YSP anyway) and I can't believe that they are waiting so long for the accounts again!

Has anyone been into a centre recently and gotten a feel for occupancy rates?

star,not mine. Got 10k at 25.25p in morning and oustanding 40k not filled until late afternoon at 15.50p. In for a knicker gripping next 18 days here.

hermana, 50,000 went through at 4.38pm on the an ADVFN competitor site at 25.41 pence would that be your trade or is somebody else hopefully building a stake. By the way nice to have you here. JIM

The Manchester charity relies on the work of dedicated volunteers who encourage and support people who are recovering from severe mood disorders and provide information and advice and their family and friends.

In 2008 they were named as Community Group of the year by the Community Foundation for Greater Manchester.

We would like to offer our congratulations as it was recently announced that the organisation has been recognised with the prestigious Queen's Award for Voluntary Service - equivalent to an M.B.E. The Lord Lieutenant of Manchester, Warren Smith, formally presented the award at a star-studded champagne reception at Manchester's landmark Midland Hotel. The invited guests included volunteers, supporters and people who have benefited from the valuable work of the charity over the years.

Gosh, They only have 19 days to go before suspension. Same thing as last year, delayed accounts & then suspension.Once unfortunate, twice,carelessness.
