Sorry, yes you are correct.

I was calculating my figs on the profit -

However, considering the almost identical turn overs v profits made by both companies it seems YOU have a much more efficient business model and I still consider them a better proposition to invest in out of the two - unless I am missing something (again)

RNOW may have half the market cap but i'm not sure I understand what you mean by "similar revenues" ? -

YOU has profit of 4m (RNOW 1.6m)
PE ratio YOU = 34 (about right for sector)
RNOW PE = 54 (too high and over valued in my opinion)

I am hoping YOU can do elsewhere what they have done in the UK & Middle East - then we should see some fireworks.

YOU have the middle east which is the reason for their big bump in sales/profits this year whereas RNOW have Europe.

I see that Numis raised their forecast slightly yesterday (to nearer the consensus) and reiterated their Add rating (target price 787p).

RNOW certainly looks better value now, WJC (I'm holding a few of both). But this is doing amazingly well, and perhaps it will justify the premium.

Excellent results today, and comfortably ahead of forecasts. No dividend, though, which is a disappointment, because (whatever the chairman says) a dividend was expected, and companies that don't pay dividends usually end up paying the cash to the directors instead.

Yes, you have a point there, S. Rather heavy volume by recent standards today too.

Hi DJ

May be; it's just that the movement seems a bit sudden. I wondered whether a new broker note or an impending tip this weekend, with someone in the know, or may be large trades yet to be revealed.

It might all come out in the wash. However, all things considered, with such strong fundamentals, further upward momentum is hardly a surprise - just that I still doubt that an 8% spike occurs for no reason in particular.

Don't you think it might just be people punting on the results being even better than expected, S? Also, as you pointed out above, the chart shows a history of pauses at round numbers and then a breakthrough.
