16/2/2010 20:55 | Watch this treble soon................ That would put it at 94.5p. That would be a lot closer to fair value, considering the discount to nav. Todays rise was down to a delayed 50K buy at 31p. Thats just over £15Ks worth of shares, not that much really is it in the scale of things? This gives one an idea how tightly the shares are held and the liquidity levels. Under the right circumstances a spike to 94.5p not even showing on the chart could indeed happen as one can imagine. Whether it will is anouther matter :-) so what you doing loving this stock marvin, sorry edgefund? | envirovision
16/2/2010 20:43 | Definitely a good one this Was in at 23.5p and out at 29p back in again at 24p and holding for above 30p Love this stock | edgefund2

15/2/2010 21:22 | Ukraine's Economic Decline Eased to 7% Last Quarter (Update2) February 15, 2010, 10:59 AM EST By Daryna Krasnolutska and Kateryna Choursina Feb. 15 (Bloomberg) -- Ukraine's economy shrank 7 percent last quarter, the smallest decline of the year, after a revival of exports helped boost industrial production. The annual contraction compares with a 15.9 percent slump in the third quarter, 17.8 percent in the second quarter and 20.3 percent of the first three months of 2009, the Kiev-based state statistics committee said today, without providing a breakdown of the data. Ukraine fell into recession in the fourth quarter of 2008 after the global crisis undermined demand for steel, its main export, and left about 20 of its banks in need of state aid. The hryvnia has lost 42 percent against the dollar since the beginning of September 2008 and the country is waiting for a political impasse to end so that it can regain access to international bailout funds needed to finance its budget and pay for Russian gas. "Given the sheer extent of the collapse of the real economy, the real effective depreciation of the hryvnia, and something of a recovery in metals prices, there is scope for a bounce in the real economy in Ukraine, but from very, very low levels," said Tim Ash, head of emerging-market research at Royal Bank of Scotland Plc in London. Hryvnia Advances Ukraine's hryvnia strengthened to 8.0215 versus the dollar as of 4:35 p.m. in Kiev, compared with 8.0225 yesterday. The country's dollar-denominated bonds due in 2016 remained unchanged at 81.46 cents on the dollar as of 5:10 p.m. in Kiev. Ukrainian government debt is the third-most expensive to insure in the world after Venezuela and Argentina, based on credit default swap prices. Ukraine's five-year default swaps cost 977.205 basis points on Feb. 12, compared with 1035.305 for Venezuela and 1087.945 for Argentina, according to CMA DataVision. Industrial production rose 3.3 percent on average last quarter after declining 22.8 percent from in the July-September period, state statistics data show. Production was driven by metals, which jumped an annual 27.3 percent in December after surging 47.6 percent in November and 16.2 percent in October. On the quarter, economic data have yet to point to recovery, said Olena Bilan, an analyst at Kiev-based Dragon Capital. "In seasonally adjusted terms, the fourth quarter was probably flat compared with the previous quarter as fiscal tightening negatively affected the performance of domestic- oriented sectors," Bilan said. "Fiscal tightening is set to continue through the first quarter of this year, but the fiscal situation is expected to improve after the government regains access to external financing, contributing to an economic recovery." Loan Frozen Ukraine is trying to unlock its $16.4 billion two-year IMF loan, which has been frozen since November after the country failed to commit to spending cuts to stabilize the budget. A resumption of bailout flows would also open the door to a 610 million euro ($829 million) loan from the European Union, Deputy Prime Minister Hryhoriy Nemyria said on Nov. 9. Political turmoil continues to delay Ukraine's economic recovery as Prime Minister and presidential candidate Yulia Timoshenko has so far refused to concede defeat to her opponent Viktor Yanukovych, even after the U.S., the European Union and NATO recognized his victory. Yanukovych has urged Timoshenko to step down to allow him to form a majority in the parliament and appoint a new Cabinet. Timoshenko, who claims that more than 1 million votes were "falsified," has said she will contest his victory in court before a Feb. 19 deadline. | durby
12/2/2010 15:31 | Nothing going on just someone (probably non retail) having waited for the elections to finish and knowing the discount to nav helping themselves to what is and what will indeed prove to be pound notes for 20 pence. What ever level (30p, or be it 50p or even 60p short term) you buy in trader your on a winner long term imo, luck to you, from the Red Sea, Nama Bay. | envirovision
12/2/2010 13:33 | INGL looking to buy 400,000 @ 28GBX when they only want to sell 7.5k... decided to make another tiny top up 8,891 @ 29.90GBX as there is clearly something going on. I have spare cash waiting to buy a larger stake but I will wait until I find out what is happening. TITM | traderinthemaking
12/2/2010 09:29 | 242,000 @ 28GBX just went through. Someone is confident enough to punt 68kGBP. Glad to see some confidence back in XXIC :) TITM Edit: 10:56am 400,000 @ 28GBX - Good volume going through... | traderinthemaking
10/2/2010 16:31 | envirovision " However no one in their right mind is predicting things getting worse." It will get a lot worse | hyper al
10/2/2010 16:20 | I initially bought in @ 5.85 in Dec-08 and sold @ 13.55 in April-09 and made a very nice profit at the time... I decided to re-open a tiny punt on this one following the MM action on the bid and I really struggled to get my 6,467 @ 25GBX... Is it money put down the drain? Time will tell :) TITM EDIT: TROI just moved from 25 to 28GBX, which makes it 27GBX on the ask something must be cooking.... | traderinthemaking
10/2/2010 15:46 | up 9% Tks for the insight envirovision | andrbea
10/2/2010 14:56 | So Viktor Yanukovich claims victory with approx 49% versus 46%. Crucially key western monitors, both the OSCE and Council of Europe commitments called the election "fair and free" in an "impressive display" of democracy. Thats very good news compared to their first attempt at it back in 2004 which were far from fair and free. I see XXIC up today, mostly driven by ING who have brought the bid up from 20 to 23p in one go and staying well out the offer at 36p. My take on this would be a large buy order in the background. | envirovision
