Just wondering how the Cypress crisis affects loans from their banks to outsiders, as here?

Logically I'd guess that a domestic 'run' of sorts on Cypriot banks by residents has reduced liquidity/reserves/deposits considerably.
Accordingly I suspect there is little chance of getting the requested loan extension until 2014. I'm just surprised it didn't tank after the last RNS!

Hopefully (for them - I'm not a holder) they have/are negotiating re-financing with another bank.

The caveat being that the Cypriot bank opts to extend the loan rather than call it in and risk losing on it following a fire sale of XXI's collateral, and possibly waiting a year or longer for such a fire sale to conclude. They may just extend it and punish them interest-wise. That may suit them as may the possible benefits attached to leaving cash overseas, away from a desperate Cypriot government's grasp.

Today's share price fall implies the former, ie. the bank won't be extending the loan another year, although they may give them 3 months to re-finance, at some punitive interest rate.

PS. Just observing - not invested.

Let's just say NAV is around 40p/share and be done with it. Keep it simple.

As I said . . . you were using the wrong market cap, the wrong number of shares in issue AND the wrong NAV . . . even though you now have all the relevant financial information you have still quoted the wrong NAV on Friday and today and chosen not to correct it . . .

Errr . . . we've discussed this before I was correcting your market cap and shares in issue figures as they were wrong . . . unfortunately you also had the wrong NAV figure as well, which I didn't realise until later when the half year report came out . . . so you had the wrong market cap, the wrong number of shares in issue AND the wrong NAV . . .

51 mill usd 30 mill gbp vs 2 mill market cap?

_______________________________________________

For the record moreforus has repeatedly posted the incorrect NAV per share for XXIC for months and he's still doing it . . . he started at 84p moved down to 74p on Friday and he's now moved down to 50p . . . the published NAV was US$299m (excluding minorities) at the end of June 2011 and the current number of shares as per ADVFN is 431.81m . . .

I've had a look at the figures and these seem to be the most accurate,

CuFeS2 - 28 Jan'12 - 15:36 - 764 of 784

The NAV is reported as $299m and the number of shares in issue is currently 446.58m according to TDW and so NAV per share is actually 42p using current conversion rates .

Ovaro currently holds 268,395,302 ordinary shares (approximately 60.1 per cent of the issued share capital) in XXI Century.

100/60.1 x 268,395,302 = 446,581,201.

SPFL has a NAV of 24p. Beat that! And that could be double if they get the 19m euros penalty payment, see new thread.

PAV - probably suffering from acute Ochitis - 74p is OCHs nav

I clearly said XXIC trading at 10% of nav as recently as Friday

Given I was the only buyer on Friday that gives people if they can be bothered the whole weekend to do some research to discover XXIC is trading at a 90% discount to nav and not a 94% discount to nav.

Oh dear . . . 84p, 74p, 50p . . . make your mind up moreforus . . . actually using the US$299m published NAV and using ADVFNs number of shares figure of 431.8m shares in issue at today's exchange rate the NAV per share is actually 44p . . . but surely you would know that since you've been buying . . .
