A lot of punters follow chart indicators when buying and selling shares, goforgold1, and the 14 day RSI was showing that XTR was "overbought" this morning. That could have been responsible for the selling pre the RNS release.

I was angry about the trades not showing and the failure to put up an rns so have given ADVFN a piece of my mind.

They tell me that they can`t yet understand what happened but claimed a technical fault which they are working on.

I warned them that should this admittedly rare event happen again a lot of subscribers would change our source of data as we use ADVFN to make not lose money.

Felt a bit sorry for the lady afterwards but there is a place for righteous anger,
despite the fact that following the price fall I shall now be able to buy the shares I have been intending to.

I understand that but your going to get a sell off every time I was surprised it went up so many days strong but now come down with a bump . Watching waiting.

A further fall back towards 6p wouldn't surprise me. That 6p resistance could turn into support, if it falls back that far. One thing we can't do is predict share prices.
A dropping share price can induce panic selling as PI's rush to restrict losses, or protect profits.

gfg that makes my point for post 5213. Todays RNS was a very nice 'bonus' extension 150m by 112m depth (some deeper than 600m) by unknown width.

Assume a width of 400m, and assume no improvement on depth as you work back to the main body. That drill alone adds 17,000T to the contained copper.

After a good run it's profit taking kicking in and the herd instinct. Just take is as a) a sign of how quickly this can and will rise in the future b) another opportunity to build your holding, should you wish.

What intrigues me this this, what is here? I would like to hear more from the company about this area.

My average buying price is in the 5p-6p range so I'm not worried by today's pull back. To be expected. Nothing goes up in a straight line.

Its been a good rise steady for sure really happy with that . Then you get the RNS and all panic sets in as the mms know these short minded flippers will sell out . so bring price down quickly get the cheap shares and sell again over 7p in next few days

Yes, goforgold1, but it didn't open as high as 7.5p (that wasn't the intraday mid price high either, that was the asking price). No doubt some of the buying earlier today was in anticipation of an RNS. They've probably sold at a loss because the RNS wasn't what they were expecting.

Arcadian my 'few indicators' was refering to Ascot drills. The last month may have changed the perceptions to RNSs, but so far investors don't seem 'to do data' they 'do sentiment'. I would hope that changes but I will not be banking on it.

Disappointed in ADVFN in that it didn`t show the 700.000 share trades sold just after 12 and then not showing an RNS.

The results were as expected at the fringe and that`s what Colin is doing to gauge the size and extent of Racecourse but as Count points out the really important finds are in the South. I still intend to add to my pile but will await those Ascot drills
The new low price is calling though.
