One thing I will stress, is that fundamentals drive share prices and not charts. Charts are driven by the fundamentals and investor sentiment. It's not the other way round! I do try to predict future price movements using charts and chart indicators, but not too far into the future! After all I'm only doing what climate scientists do when predicting future global temperatures using historical temperature data, etc. I'm not suggesting that trying to predict share price movements from historical data is likely to be as successful as predicting future global temperatures, but it's good fun and keeps my brain active. It's therapeutic, just like doing crossword puzzles! Zero Matrix should try it! 🤣

PS I have studied the RNS's and advfn bb's for KIW and XTR whilst CB has been in charge, so I have definitely done my research in depth.

I can't predict share prices, or how many consecutive white candlesticks are possible, but if you look at candlestick charts of any share, All in Eol, you will not see many instances of 6 consecutive white candlesticks. Why? Possibly because goforgold1's "flippers" are taking profits.

PS I can assure you, All in Eol, that I most definitely have Zero Matrix permanently filtered. When I say permanent, I mean permanent! Whether you believe me, or not, is up to you. I don't care.

PS I can't help it if Zero Matrix posts a comment immediately after I make a post on charts. I agree with you; he should follow my example and use the filter button. That way he wouldn't have to read my posts on the subject.

ZM,
To look at this another way, your deemed useless post by paps has led to a useless post by yourself, especially as you are on pretend filter.
Best to just scroll on by or filter to cut down the daily noise?

Thank you for pointing out that share prices are unlikely to climb consistently day in, day out, without a little pullback.
"for confirmation of what I have outlined" do you not give it a rest, you stock market guru, you! ... I bet you are the life and soul of any party.

Today's small black candlestick is not a surprise to me. After 5 consecutive white candlesticks another white one today was always unlikely percentage wise. Look at the longer term candlestick chart for XTR (or any other share for that matter) for confirmation of what I have outlined.
The XTR chart is still very bullish and I expect the next leg up in the XTR share price rise to start again very soon; perhaps as soon as tomorrow 🤞

I know all that Papillon. I've told you NCM has GGP over a barrel. But the valuation techniques it will come up with for Havieron will have lessons for BR. As for backtothesoil - exactly what 'argument' have I lost please ?

lurker5, NCM bought into GGP around 9 months before GGP made their gold discovery. GGP had no money and with such a miniscule share price and Mkt Cap they would never have been able to raise money to start their ambitious drilling program without a major farming in. NCM came to GGP's rescue by farming into GGP's Australian licence.
XTR however had the money to start the Bushranger drilling campaign and because the initial success led to an enormous spike up in the XTR share price they were able to capitalise on that share price rise to raise cash to enable their drilling to continue via a placing.
Hence the NCM/GGP situation is completely different to that of AA/XTR.

XTR is currently the only share I own. 🤞 it lives up to my expectations in 2022. Hopefully it will surpass them!
If it doesn't, it's not the end of the world!
PS Don't worry about me, Arcadian. 😁 I only have 275k shares which, unfortunately, is nowhere near TCofMC's shareholding and I do own a bungalow so I'll still have a roof over my head even if the XTR share price caves in.

Much more sensible range being quoted this afternoon too. Knowing how things have been going here lately it can't be long until the next bit of news

Incredible thickness of planks on here. The arguments surrounding NCM/GGP have a bearing on how negotiations might turn out for AA/XTR

Interesting posts, as always Count. Do you know what similar and/or competing new resources are being worked up that AA, or other majors, would be considering alongside, or as alternatives to, Bushranger? These majors MUST replenish their pipelines to secure their future success.

Anglo American
- Market Cap: 46.7 billion GBP
- Dividend: 6.3% (approx)
- 11th largest company listed on the LSE
- Transitioning to a "greener company" by selling off coal and other dirty assets and refocusing on the "future" metals, such as copper
- Number of copper mines in Australia: 0
- Copper issues in Chile: Chile´s central zone continues to face severe drought conditions. While production impacts during 2021 have been mitigated by the successful implementation of water management initiatives, record low levels of precipitation during the year have reduced water availability for Los Bronces in the first half of 2022 and have been factored into production guidance.

👍 TCofMC. XTR is KIW (Kiwara) repeated. Hopefully XTR will be offered more than the US$260m FQ offered for KIW. 🤞🤞 >> US$260m looking likely.

PS investors should look back over the KIW RNS's and advfn KIW bb posts to get a feel of what is likely to happen with XTR.

To be fair regarding the fall in GGP shares, Steve4077, gold mining shares have been under the cosh during 2021/2022. Look no further than GPM, an investment trust investing primarily in gold miners. It's share price is almost half it's 2020 high. Gold miners are a geared play on the gold price.

What an idiot, the GGP management are trying to develop the mine, completely different strategy, our management don't want to do that and want to sell it. The "decision to mine" is simply a step towards selling the project.

"But NCM has GGP over a barrel, having farmed in to get its current 70% controlling stake". Haha, hence why CB doesn't want to do a farm-in, if you had been listening to his interviews you would know this.

Those looking for how the deal will probably end up should look at how KIW went, cash and share offer from FQM.

AA are paying a nice 6% divi now.

We are the shareholders on here, who wants a sale to AA for cash and shares at many multiples of the share price? And who wants whatever Lurker is trying to talk about:))

So you are choosing a company that ended up massively over-valued and 40-bagged as a cautionary tale? :) I hope we do as badly as GGP.

Those interested in true likely outcome should look closely at GGP/NCM upcoming attempt to agree a value for GGP's 5% stake in Havieron - due in next few weeks, and will go to arbitration (valmin code ?) if can't agree. Lots of lessons (which the Count won't be interested in). Firstly a big difference between the two re assumptions behind pre-feasibility studies by each party (leading to 100% difference in their estimates of NPV) Second, NCM is being accused of likelyhood it will ignore drilling results after early 2021 (the start of PFS) and therefore of the scope to increase the value. Reserves taken account of in the PFS are 1.6Moz Au and 73,000 t cu. (400,000 t cu equivalent) 'In ground value' at current prices (GGP and NCM disagree what to use) is $3.6bn of which GGP's 5% being haggled over is £180m. Will be interesting to see what % of that NCM will propose. It should be a high number (not a guide for Bushranger) to reflect the plan to truck Havieron's ore to keep NCM's Telfer mine operating, as well as that it is a 'reserve' as opposed to a 'resource'. Even so GGP's share price looks to be in fantasy land - a $700m market cap against the $100m that its full 20% share of Havieron's NPV would be.
GGP investors are hoping that NCM will be generous, and allow for the significant further potential that more recent drilling has thrown up at Havieron. But NCM has GGP over a barrel, having farmed in to get its current 70% controlling stake. Unlike GGP, XTR has its shareholders in control if they want to be - to stop any such nonsense by AA. (But we know that the Count knows best and won't be bothered). Other shareholders certainly will though.

Being one of the "sans culottes" is not good. I gave it up years ago.

Stuff happens and if this goes pear shaped you may well stay one of the masses.
