14/8/2007 08:26 | one third of mkt cap in cash! | cb7
14/8/2007 07:38 | Cracking results, revenue well ahead of expectations (broker is forecasting £19m) for the year and they're on track for £21m, assuming H2 = H1. Point noted about pre-tax profit forecast but I assume they have had to invest in H1 in order to get the new long-term managed service contracts up and running, therefore I would expect overall margin to increase in H2. Also note that their free cash flow (after capex) was substantially ahead of pre tax profit at £555k. Confident outlook statement "look forward to the second half with optimism" | qwazi
14/8/2007 07:31 | Full year forecasts are for pretax profit of £700,000.They will need to get their skates out in H2 to meet it seems. Anyone know if they have strong H2 bias historically? | nurdin
14/8/2007 07:19 | Highlights > Results * Revenue up 35% to #10.6 million (June 2006: #7.8 million) * Operating profit before non-recurring items up 70% to #189,000 (June 2006: #111,000*) * Profit before tax up 53% to #191,000 (June 2006: #125,000*) * Cash and cash equivalents of #2.1 million (31 December 2006: #1.5 million) * Strong contribution from substantial new contracts ... Although no interim dividend is proposed, subject to continuing satisfactory trading in the second half of 2007 and subject to the working capital requirements of the group, we intend to pay a final dividend. Profit for the 6 months up 53% to £190k, if they could reduce their admin administration costs further it would really fly. | dusseldorf
13/8/2007 10:56 | I take it from the price movement that people are expecting a decent set of results? anyone still in/views? | dusseldorf
01/6/2007 15:34 | This share is tipped as a Strong Buy in Junes City Confidential... Some Positive movement in the price today I notice. | m180
04/5/2007 09:10 | I see this old dog is still trashing around at the bottom of the pile! Anyone in profit should get out now before the dilution scam starts all over again! | simon self
16/4/2007 18:12 | yes, liveinhope, dalkeith had just reversed xpertise into it & changed its name, I didn't particularly fancy it, so I sold out, since when there has been a 1 for 80 consolidation. Am sorely tempted by it again, but they do say you should leave your past successes alone, you only get disappointed the second time around.... | eburne1960
16/4/2007 08:42 | liveinhope - I sold out on the first day of the new tax year. I have strong doubts about the UK economy for the next year and felt it was worth taking the excellent gain I had made here. | aleman
16/4/2007 07:50 | eburne1960 (post 32) - was this in the days when this share was trading as Dalkeith Inns plc? | liveinhope
16/4/2007 07:42 | Excellent AGM statement. "Wellplaced to achieve" full year expectations, means its trading on a forward p/e of less than 10! | qwazi
16/4/2007 07:41 | Aleman - encouraging Statement issued today. "At the Annual General Meeting of Xpertise Group PLC, being held today at 10.30am, Richard Last, Chairman, will give the following update on trading: "In our preliminary results for the year ended 31 December 2006, we announced that, in January 2007, we had been successful in winning a major three year managed training service contract for a government organisation and that we had also been appointed as a preferred supplier to Computacenter. We are now providing service under both these contracts and, whilst the full business benefits will only be felt in 2008 and beyond, they will also contribute strongly to the Group's results this year. We are also pleased that we have continued to grow our Training Services business and that we have been successful in the first quarter of 2007 in winning a further three contracts that should contribute additional annualised turnover of approximately #1m. Trading in our IT Technical and Professional Skills division has also been strong with turnover in the first quarter of 2007 13% up on Q1 2006. However, continued pressure on margins has meant that gross profit has increased by just 6% in the same period. We are encouraged by these business successes early in the year and consider that the Group is well placed to achieve full year expectations for 2007 which represent a significant increase on results for the previous year." 16 April 2007" | liveinhope
04/4/2007 10:24 | And again. Actually my second share to rise around 150% this year, and a thread equally as quiet. | aleman
02/4/2007 18:16 | hate to quibble, but hardly a new high, I sold at the equivalent of £32 seven years ago!! | eburne1960
02/4/2007 13:53 | Another new high. Very quiet here considering. Forward p/e now 7.4 dropping to 5.7. | aleman
26/3/2007 16:33 | Didn't quite hang on to the high, but I'll settle for 10% anyday. The volume was surprisingly healthy when you consider they would not let me have more than 500 over the phone only a few weeks ago. I wish I had got the 5000 I was after because they were only 52p back then. | aleman
26/3/2007 13:06 | Still buying and still going up. There looks to be resistance around 110p then 130p before a big gap up to 200p+. I can't see us getting to the latter but 110-130p would be a nice gain and still on a modest rating. | aleman
26/3/2007 10:04 | Lots of activity Friday and today. Anybody seen a tip somewhere? IC tips usually affect Friday and Monday. Still only on a p/e of 5.25 for next year. More to come as the changed outlook reaches a wider audience, I think. | aleman
21/3/2007 04:35 | This year's turnover and pretax have been nudged up a touch although eps haven't. Forecasts Year Ending Revenue (£m) Pre-tax (£m) EPS P/E PEG EPS Grth. Div Yield 31-Dec-07 19.80 0.70 12.30p 6.2 0.1 +105% n/a 0.0% 31-Dec-08 21.50 0.90 16.00p 4.8 0.2 +30% n/a 0.0% | aleman
09/3/2007 15:44 | It appears today's gain is down to a buy tip in the Investors Chronicle. | aleman
09/3/2007 12:42 | Aleman - I'd hazard a guess that someone wants to buy a large quantity of stock and the market makers do not have sufficient to fill the order. They are trying to encourage sellers to fill an order hence opening at a level more likely to flush out a few. | dusseldorf
09/3/2007 09:14 | Why would the shares open up 15% on no news?!? | aleman
02/3/2007 16:42 | 13 buys from 4 o'clock! Looks like there has been a tip somewhere. Also looks like it should carry over into Monday. | aleman
28/2/2007 00:38 | This share should be called, EX BETTY'S!!! | jamjak
26/2/2007 15:49 | Somebody give the shares a kick and remind them their on a p/e of 5.2 for 2007 dropping to less than 4 for 2008! | aleman |
