08/4/2005 22:26 | guys, after a bit of your knowledge on these please........ any thoughts/info on where these could be in the short term (1 year), Med term (3 years) and in the longer term (5 years).... any info or thoughts really... I will be doing my own research too.... cheers... | harlequin11
03/3/2005 16:59 | Lord of the Land - Don't think too much of the share price retracement, remember the bid has been below 1p for almost 6 months and that was only on a blip. Once the dust has settled the price should stabalise and the real money will start changing hands. They keep mentioning the need for consolidation in the market and IMO they will either be aquired or make another aquisition within 2 months. | dusseldorf
03/3/2005 13:25 | Thanks for the information, Richard | rpalmer
03/3/2005 11:28 | L2 indicates that there are 3 market makers, 3 bidding for stock at 1p and 3 selling stock at 1.5p.. 3 Market Makers a strong L2 would be for XPG 2 V 1 - hence 2 MMs bidding for stock and 1 selling/offering stock.. a weak L2 , conversely 1 V 2.. at the moment we are all square @ 3V3.. saffy... | safman
03/3/2005 11:02 | Thanks for info I dont understand L2 what does 3 vs 3 indicate and why Thanks in advance for information. | rpalmer
03/3/2005 10:58 | L2 ..3v3.. silly spread.. but here a little inof on who holds stock.. saffy.. LYNX PLC 92,661,903 22.12 UNICORN ASSET MANAGEMENT 53,381,836 12.74 SINGER & FRIEDLANDER 38,786,929 9.26 F&C ASSET MANAGEMENT 29,090,909 6.94 SINGER & FRIEDLANDER 26,459,522 6.32 | safman
03/3/2005 10:13 | Duss yes but all are down H2 from H1 (except sales), my question is why, not aware the business is seasonal. Don't get me wrong, I think the co has potential, as I've already invested in it once, and will probably do so again.... i just feel uncomfortable about the H2 decline, the potential liquidity problem. i'll hang back for a bit to see what comes in the next 6 months. if i miss a bid then so be it - i'll get over it, at least today i'm up in real beer tokens not paper. regards VtB | vinnie the bean
03/3/2005 10:01 | Vinnie - I agree some of the figure are down, but e.g. Gross profit margin is actually up from last years average - remember a financial year is a game of two halves I am pleased therefore that Xpertise has been able to maintain its gross profit percentage at 38.6% (2003: 38.3%). | dusseldorf
03/3/2005 09:55 | Duss- it would be an excellent idea as i hold a lot of both. Consolidation is the key here as this will stabilise margins on increasing turnover=profit | orvil
03/3/2005 09:54 | Duss Quote from 24th Sept: Over the last 6 months we have been running at a staggering 90+% delegate capacity in London, and have been using external facilities during the weeks where we are over 100%. I'd expect a bit more profit from this. + margins down 2% in H2, expenses up, its all going the wrong way plus they released details of the terms of reference for the remuneration committee yesterday....i hear the sound of pigs with noses in the trough imho dyor etc | vinnie the bean
03/3/2005 09:53 | buy price with Barclays 1.5p, sell price 1.1p ready for next tick up | rpalmer
03/3/2005 09:36 | Anyone think that Intellexis (ILX) should aquire XPG? it makes sense.... | dusseldorf
03/3/2005 09:34 | Great news update ! Just holding mine for the long term now, will have another look in a year, hopefully into double digits by then! Looking for the next action with (IDOX) now | 365
03/3/2005 09:30 | Offer Upto 1.5p, im not the only one thats been buying this morning then. Starting to get interesting, Spreads getting rather silly though. | rpalmer
03/3/2005 09:16 | Regarding H2 having higher costs to H1, I think the following may explain where the extra costs came from: We have invested in additional sales resources during 2004, including our London City sales team, with the aim of maintaining the pace of growth of the business. Despite this investment in additional personnel and the overall increase in business levels, we have maintained tight control over operating costs, which increased by just 3% (HIGHER COSTS FROM NEW SALES RESOURCES) in 2004 compared to the previous year. Our capital investment programme doubled in 2004 to #290,000 (2003: #141,000) (I.E £140k EXTRA NON RE-OCCURING COSTS), extending and improving classroom facilities at selected locations and enhancing our business infrastructure. I believe our facilities are amongst the best in the training industry and they consistently receive above average acclaim from customers attending Xpertise courses. | dusseldorf
03/3/2005 09:03 | I still think they are too big to be 'aquired' by someone else, so maybe once the results have been digested, the price might stabilise over 1p enabling further shares to be issued for a profitable aquisition. | dusseldorf
03/3/2005 09:00 | buying online - 37.5K..max, XPG could be an interesting player ..in order for consolidation in the learning mkt place.. with teh advent of new technologies and the need now "more than ever" ..it SKILLS, because there is a skill shortage.. it may well be one to watch.. so whether they acquire or become "acquired" will remain to be seen.. saffy.. | safman
03/3/2005 08:54 | If the market makers shorten the spread, im sure this will begin rising even more. The spread will scaire a lot of people out of investing in thisn company. | rpalmer

03/3/2005 08:52 | Listen guys, the share price has been in better shape than this when things were a lot more dire:) I expect (forget about the company, what it does and what profits/loss its made) the price to go north from here. I reckon it will be 3p within a month if not more. Thats not a ramp its analysis of behaviour:) | no advice intended
03/3/2005 08:51 | thanks Dell- i just noticed in the past that my trades had been delayed substantially - maybe I was falling asleep with anticipation of the effect they might have. | orvil
03/3/2005 08:45 | This just looks like some results spin prior to refinancing. Working capital situation must be causing problems IMO. Still it's a frothy market.... Rgds dell all IMHO, DYOR etc. P.S. orvil - For XPG, ordinary trades over 12k are automatically delayed by one hour. Any longer and MMs need to put them through as a protected transaction, block, or some other trade type.. | dell314 |
