These appear to be the currently-targeted US tariff categories:- * Power supplies suitable for physical incorporation into automatic data processing machines * Power supplies for automatic data processing (ADP) machines or units * Static converters (for example, rectifiers) for telecommunication apparatus * Printed circuit assemblies of power supplies for automatic data processing machines What constitutes an "automatic data processing machine" these days and what proportion of XPP's US sales goes into this category? A lot of equipment will have digital processors in them even if they are not PCs/laptops/servers.

The latest trade negotiations seem to have gone well for the US (USMCA) so bodes well but could disadvantage "low cost labour" countries where workers' hourly wages are less than $16. In XPP's case China and Vietnam. Who's up next for a Trade Deal with the US?

Eric, Have you come across any US tariffs directly related to XPP's Chinese power supply products? I imagine the US semiconductor tariffs will add costs to the US manufacturing subsidiaries (Glassman, Comdel & EMCO) but not to complete PSU's supplied out of China & Vietnam.

Presumably getting impacted by concern around US tariffs, particularly on the semis industry https://www.eetimes.com/document.asp?doc_id=1333566

Interesting point, given the Co are Singapore based i'd suggest its more likely that if this was to become a problem they would use third party warehousing outside China to circumvent.

Possibly some fear here of the impact of Trumpian trade policies. Manufacturing in China/Vietnam and selling into the US is not exactly what he is trying to encourage.

Yes surprisingly illiquid given the sizeable market cap. I tried to buy just after it turned blue this morning and couldn’t get on online quote for a modest top-up. Routed my order through to a dealer and got the shares albeit at the full ask. Interims looked pretty solid so the markdown seems unjustified. The company will be aided by any further weakness in sterling in the coming months which seems highly probable to me. GLA

When I was buying I would have to leave limit orders in for at least 2 - 3 days (and in small lots). Better liquidity today but probably being mopped up quickly.

I did manage to buy some this morning - got another 4 shares via my regular monthly investment on AJ Bell. They don't call me a high roller for nothing.

Villa, far too illiquid a stock to tell from charts. See how difficult it is to trade from above; it has been the same for years. Maybe the big hike on 29 September last year is the one to question. The trend before that was a CAGR of 35% approx. So the top trend line on that channel would still be intact at 2630'ish. Support is when the gap gets closed at around 2600. Consensus forecast EPS for FY 2018 is 175p. Paying 20x gives 3500p. Remember this is in the main a USD earner so 175p could be conservative on currency translation. AIMV
