It's a weird term but there business is the exact same as XL, these two would be a great merge/takeover.

What is meant by "affiliate operator"? Are they a partner? Is there a financial connection between them and XLM?

Affiliate operator Gambling.com Group has agreed to acquire Roto Sports, the operator of the US fantasy sports news site RotoWire.com for $27.5m. They will pay $20m upfront, with the rest paid over two years.

Roto Sports’ 2021 revenues are expected to be around $7m, and they operate in three segments. Their Subscription business has over 100k paid subscribers and represents over 50% of their revenues today. Their B2B Media Services (syndication of their news content) has over 70 partners in the US and Canada, including ESPN, CBS and DraftKings, and it is currently about 30% of revenues. The last segment is Advertising (display, email and some affiliate), which today is under 20% of revenues; they had more than 17m unique visitors in the last 12 months. With RotoWire’s expansive coverage of US sports and combined with the high authority of their content, they had over 10m search referrals so far in 2021. Gambling.com plans to leverage this traffic and content to “drive substantial, incremental affiliate revenue” from real-money sports betting, and they expect advertising to become the biggest segment for Roto Sports by 2023. Roto Sports operating margin will be around 50% at the time of closing, but they expect that to improve over time as more of the revenues will come from sportsbook affiliate referrals.

The Roto deal “establishes a foundation for a leadership position in US sports betting.” In addition to their current brands, Gambling.com also has an extensive portfolio of domains that they plan to launch going forward to further underpin their goal of being the market leader. That includes Bet[STATE].com for all 50 states (BetCalifornia.com, BetOhio.com, etc) and other domains like Scores.com, BetNY.com, BetCA.com, BetFL.com and NewYorkBets.com.

still absurdly undervalued in my view. Should never of got this low. Fundamentals not changed at all and outlook is extremely bullish given US developments that have not translated into financials yet.

yes very confident in this stock, basing this on the agressive US expansion and betting opening up there...and remember all this is yet to be reported in XLM's financials...this only just got going H2 this year...imagine the profits in 12 months could be very fruitful indeed. The share price in my view dropped of lately due to flight to large cap and also investors getting spooked by expansion and re-engineering costs...little short sighted in my view...as I always say though just my view everyone should do their own DD

The growth in sports betting in October was very strong year on year in the four states with the biggest handles and where the figures are available: Nevada 87%; Indiana 78%; New Jersey 58%; and Pennsylvania 51%. In Illinois, another state with a bid sports handle and where sports betting was legalised in mid-2020, sports betting in September 2021 (October figure not available yet) was twice as much as in September 2020. A very strong backdrop for XLM.
