16/3/2017 18:05 | I wouldn't spend too much time or effort pondering Caspar's brokers note. The results are next week and the proof of the pudding will be available then. However I do think that the broker's note may bode well for the results. Perhaps he knows something we don't! | fez77
16/3/2017 18:01 | A few substantial buys today suggest a newspaper or two might be reporting on that broker note to give it a further lift. | she-ra
16/3/2017 17:12 | Mmmm not sure about Caspar. Need something more... | pbutterworth1
16/3/2017 17:08 | That broker note should have come with a wealth warning. | she-ra
16/3/2017 16:46 | Lets face it - its been a good day for XAR, and a good day for us - its long suffering shareholders! | fez77
16/3/2017 16:22 | ...until a non-believer shows up? | farmergeorge
16/3/2017 16:13 | Perhaps we should just be thankful that someone has faith............... | fez77
16/3/2017 15:52 | I'd very much like to see Canaccord's research justifying their 1000p target.... "Dow Jones Newswire - 16/3/17: Canaccord Genuity analyst Caspar Trenchard starts coverage of Xaar (XAR.LN) with a buy rating and target of 1,000p, well in excess of the current price, saying the printing technology company is in a strong position to negotiate changes in the printing market, with expertise in areas such as thin film printing. Xaar also has a strong balance sheet, with cash equal to a quarter of its market cap and good cash generation, he notes." | rivaldo
16/3/2017 15:01 | Ah yes...Hogg resigned as deputy governor of the Bank of England in 2017, after failing to disclose family links to Barclays. Suppose it's all been forgotten. | farmergeorge
16/3/2017 14:32 | Mrs Hogg -think she's English.... | meijiman
16/3/2017 14:03 | meijiman, which posh bird was that? The one who is about to leave is American. | farmergeorge
16/3/2017 13:56 | Caspar is from a very posh background and thus has a superior knowledge of what will happen in the future-possibly. There again the posh bird at the BofE got the tick tack for telling porkies. | meijiman
16/3/2017 13:28 | So, why has everyone eles missed this? Does Caspar have exceptional foresight? It's all about creating market activity, which these guys feed on. Anyhow, I'm a holder so no problem with some 'positive' news. | farmergeorge

16/3/2017 13:03 | Ha ha - spoke too soon? | fez77
16/3/2017 12:37 | Interesting rise today. We are topping the Leader-board!! Can't say that happens very often! Hope it's some foretaste of the full year results due on Wednesday 22nd March 2017. | fez77
09/3/2017 08:46 | agree with post 2900 there had better be a good explanation or better still good results on 22nd. the CEO was supposedly well versed in this industry... the share price tells a different story. | stoxx67
08/3/2017 19:37 | Ha-well she definitely can't be blamed. Hope she has gone in with her eyes open. | meijiman
08/3/2017 18:35 | The new CFO doesn't start until 2 May 2017. This information is in the first paragraph of the RNS dated 24th Jan 2017. | georgerv
08/3/2017 17:29 | This Chinese bird can't be blamed. If I was the Chairman I would get rid of the ceo-hopefully he is in the last chance saloon. ~beats me how you can be in a job when your share price has collapsed and the market is at record highs. | meijiman

08/3/2017 16:59 | Perhaps Xerox corporation will take them out? Or Hewlett-Packard? See:- hxxp://investingnews | fez77
08/3/2017 16:58 | osco1979 The new CFO was only appointed on 24 Jan this year. She has been in the job less than 2 months. I would be happy for take over if we get a significant premium to the current price. Ideally if we can a few companies fighting over us, that would push the price even higher. | seans66
08/3/2017 16:18 | Not currently invested but sorely tempted at these levels. SP seems to have slumped since TU last December when they said H2 revenue would likely match H1. Apr 16 - announce transformational and ambitious new strategy to achieve £220m revenue by 2020 Aug 16 - interims show H1 revenue lower than previous year but company states it expects H2 revenue growth vs H1 Dec 16 - TU indicates that H2 revenue likely to be in line with H1 and focus switched to in line earnings That's not a very credible trio of announcements within the space of 8 months imo. | gleach23 |
