27/12/2023 23:46 | I'm averaged in at about here, though gold is higher in both US$ and £. There is clearly a cost to owning the ETF, but it's probably about £40 equivalent in the spot price. I think gold will jump much higher in the new year, so I'll put up with it because of the leverage. | stun12
23/3/2023 13:56 | So far, so good. Shame I only bought 100 shares as I wanted to see how it moves. Trades do seem to happen inside the spread. But, to be fair, the damn thing moves around so quickly that I'm not sure if the spread matters that much. | stun12
23/3/2023 12:48 | There's almost a half % spread on these. Just like paying stamp duty! Good luck, stun. | rech
23/3/2023 07:57 | 0.99% fees per year, monty. | stun12
22/3/2023 21:44 | For the pessimists there is 3SGO. For WisdomTree ETFs | scrwal

22/3/2023 18:26 | I opened this thread (first timer) because I want to own gold in my SIPP without it being too expensive on capital to do it. I have started with a whole 100 shares at 2920p, but would ultimately want to have 15-20% of my portfolio invested in gold, while only paying a third of it because of the leverage. It moves very quickly relative to the price of the shiny, as you'd expect. I'd also like to add a spot gold chart, if anyone knows how to do that? | stun12
22/3/2023 18:19 | This is a reasonably liquid leveraged play on gold. It's a WisdomTree ETF and aims to follow the price of gold at three times leverage. | stun12 |
