Anyone been sued by the fraudsters behind WRN & WHET yet?

Maybe he is short! He thinks TW is very good at calling out fraudulent companies, he probably learned that from his experience here.

"Copperwindow93

Hi Sandgrown - I don’t like the bloke TW and he is a terrible tipster but he generally calls the shorts pretty well.
He doesn’t say a company is a fraud without pretty clear evidence or he would be taken to the cleaner and nobody has beaten him in court so far.
Fingers crossed he has got this wrong but I fear the longer it goes on the worse it will be.
Just my own opinion."

Copper certainly can pick em can't he. He reminds me of Richard Branson's quote about how to become a millionaire.

In his case it's "start off with a rich daddy and invest all his money for him".

copperwindow’s posts on EUA continue to make inspirational reading.

e.g.
45532 on tom w is mighty fine

45544 leads to another poster naming copper as a tom w avatar, lol.
45547 is copper moaning about others calling him a shorter because he’s sceptical.

John,

This might depress you even more then:

Professor Allan Randrup Thomsen, a viral disease expert at the University of Copenhagen, has warned Denmark may have to keep restrictions in place for longer while the virus spreads in a manageable way, causing more economic and social damage in the long run. He told the Jyllands-Posten newspaper: ‘The fewer people who get infected, the longer it takes before the epidemic has infected enough people that there is broad immunity in the population.’

Here in S.A. the lockdown is much more severe. No walking, even dog walking. No alcohol or cigarettes sold. This frees up the hospitals. It is in place until at least the end of the month. Total number of deaths to date 29. Can’t say it is not working. The borders are closed and only aircraft carrying aid allowed in. Check out Flightradar24 and see how many aircraft are in the air over Africa and then look at Europe and the States.

Knigel,

Whilst I am sure you are right about what will end up happening, the process of turning the fear driven attitude and using "we don't really know, we need to wait for more evidence" as excuses for keeping going what Sweden has proved is unnecessary, should begin straight away or it will be the same dithering in 3 weeks time.

Twitter is the worse. Of course lessons will need to be learnt. As for the lockdown, it's clear it stays for another three weeks. Then my guess is a two/three stage easing?

One thing that's come out of it is the number of pseudo experts there are on bulletin boards and have your say programmes.

Watch out for the blame game to start soon.

He works in the East London mental health sector. On his first day back two of his patients had symptoms and one tested positive. The trouble on his ward is getting the patients to take their medicines, he was kneed in the stomach a couple of days ago while trying to give an injection.

Roy,

From what I have read and what CMO said, assessment from very limited antibody testing that has been done around the world (there is not a large scale test available anywhere, despite some fake news from US I saw) infected figures are disappointingly low, which is partially what leads me to the conclusion that R0 was never as high as had been thought. The other thing that leads me to this conclusion is when tests were just being done on people being admitted with a fever and / or a cough, only 25% were coming back positive. The testing figures are now polluted with testing outside hospital (a good thing, but from a data analysis perspective consistency of measurement is key). These do now seem to be showing a higher proportion of positives. My eldest shares a house with someone who had bad symptoms on return from Italy early on in all this. He did not develop symptoms himself.

It sounds like you and your Mrs caught whatever your son had, but that may well not have been CV 19. Does your son work in an area where confirmed CV 19 patients are being treated? My wife and my 2 younger children are working for NHS in various capacities, but not in high risk areas. I am obeying the rules and will continue to limit my exposure - if pubs were to open I would not go, I just see reopening as being highly symbolic of a country genuinely following the science and genuinely evaluating all evidence, including Sweden, and no longer over reacting to overblown hype and fear. I am doing this so I reduce my chances of developing symptoms from whatever cause which would take my family out for 2 weeks.

SK,
We don't know how many have been infected. My son is a nurse and 5 weeks ago he got a temperature, dry cough and tiredness, my wife and myself got the same symptoms but not as severe. After two weeks he was put on antibiotics and a week later went back to work, none of us were tested so until there is a reliable antibody test we will not know what percentage of the community have immunity.

Henderson and Jones have soon used up the money they got from BDO, they have taken out a debenture loan from Lloyd's bank.

Trump is realising that more damage is being done by lockdowns than would ever have been done by the virus. All countries get a peak that plateaus and then starts to fall, which the lockdown politicians congratulate themselves on as being due to their actions, but have they considered that the real reason for the fall is due to more and more people getting immunity? It is about time Prof Ferguson admitted he got it badly wrong, because the world figure for deaths has not yet reached his worse case prediction for this country alone, and that includes many countries like Sweden that have not had lockdowns.

Nice to see a balanced article on Sweden:

Give it a week to make sure we did pass the peak at the weekend, then get the kids back to school and the pubs open for May Day.
