It's been a long time since deals like this were hovering about. The market has heavily discounted pending yields.

GOING X-DIV 10.19p ON 7 JULY

DIVIDEND
Our dividend policy is based on the growth in trading profits
taking into account the distribution requirements that we have as a Real Estate Investment Trust.
For the current year, the Board has proposed a final dividend of 10.19 pence per share, an increase of 25% on the prior year (2015: 8.15pence), which will be paid on 5 August 2016 to shareholders on the register at 8 July 2016. This dividend will be paid as a Property Income Distribution.

Ah - some rumours were in the market, but acquisition to be funded from existing resources, so hope that there will be some recovery as bought near lows yesterday. Discount to NAV seemed just too high.

Why the sudden drop? The market had a much calmer day.

Good numbers and a nice little rise today. The right vote on brexit and things could look even better overall for the next year with income & share price

I think we may have finally broken the downtrend. Starting to look interesting. Share price is down over 20% ytd so we have a long way to climb before full year results on 8th June. GLA.

Any views as to whether this has bottomed out. Chart looks interesting. Double bottom forming perhaps? Looks cheap based on broker forecasts.

Possible read across from the drop in housebuilders today. Possibly a reaction to the following:hTTp://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/markets/questor/12165800/Banks-and-house-builders-flash-early-warning-of-UK-recession.htmlExtract: He recommends investors watch "ultra-cyclical" stocks such as housebuilders, real estate, banks and financial firms. These were the first companies to show signs of weakness in 2008. Mr Jory believes the structure of the UK economy remains broadly similar now, with finance, consumption and the housing market continuing to play an outsized role.DD

DD- Interesting article yes, but unfortunately they seem just as confused with the fallback in REIT share prices as us.
Whether Osbourne brings in a change or not is guesswork and even if changes are made the effects will be minimal to REITs according to the article.
It also mentions several other possibilities..one of which is that the share prices have fallen due to falls in the general markets/indices. lol

Interesting article about what may have spooked the commercial property market.Potential changes to corporation tax which may restrict the amount of interest charges which companies can deduct against profits when calculating their corporation tax liabilities. It is possible the Chancellor will not allow interest costs in excess of 30% of EBITDA to be allowed against corporation tax. Potentially this could affect any companies that are highly geared or have large assets which are financed via debt.hTTp://www.sharesoc.org/blog.htmlDD

seems to be an up then down day for a few property companies but they all seem to have had good falls over the last while. The wider market is having a big effect and the banking sectors still all over the place not to mention oil

Nice timing mrjohnson. It's only taken about 5 weeks for this to go from its 52 week high (a week after its positive IMS), to its 52 week low yesterday.......then today!!.alroyrob - this has fallen a lot more than DLN, BLND, etc, a helluva lot more!. Wouldn't be too surprised, after today's share price action, that we get a holdings RNS - cynical maybe!.DD

Bought my first tranche today at £7.58.

I'm normally a long term investor unless circumstances change significantly. If the price drops to £7 on no news, will probably buy more. Very volatile markets at the moment!

Also bought Bellway & Galliford Try after selling all my Verizon & some of my National Grid.
