Well - 27.5p on the offer.

Strange news today as I was expecting WKP to sell the Wandsworth estate once planning permission had been granted rather than enter into a risk sharing deal with a residential developer. The proceeds could have been used to either pay down the debt or fund new acquisitions.

Is WKP a commercial property company or a residential developer?

Still, the share price has risen on the strength of the news :-).

RNS - Redevelopment of Wandsworth Business Village

WKP have started a dash towards residential apartments.

This seems to be a 'Jam Tomorrow' sort of statement.

It's good news, but does depend on the residential market picking up when these units are delivered a few years down the line and relies on the development partners, Mount Anvil in the first instance, getting it right.

my advice: don't buy shares to solve a boredom problem. buy them to make money, and take up whitewater rafting to alleviate tedium
