18/11/2014 12:42 | Someones either keen to sell or a little foolish selling at these levels.. | battlebus2
30/9/2014 07:36 | Gross margins are good and show the gearing inside the business. Why is the UK business significantly underperforming the equivalent businesses at their nearest listed competitor PNA ? This latter point seems to show a problem of scale hence the reason for diversifying into the more traditional recruitment markets. Maybe some questions for management bb ? | deswalker
30/9/2014 07:06 | Yes I like that last line too Des, an important recognition of shareholders. As you say we have potential to turn this co into a decent business so it's worthy of holding imv. | battlebus2
30/9/2014 07:03 | Some positives in the results with the US and HK returning to profit. UK still some ground to recover. Cash balances 0.5 million with spending on new system etc. Aiming at the temporary market. Still a lot to do imv but we are getting there slowly Cash burn is a worry so time is of an urgency. | battlebus2
30/9/2014 07:00 | Disappointed that the UK hasn't done better in such a buoyant market but the international operations have made huge strides. Great to hear they are moving into temporary recruitment and the last sentence emphasising maximising shareholder returns is an important one. I still feel this share has potential. | deswalker
25/9/2014 19:58 | Results anytime now ?? | battlebus2
15/9/2014 16:00 | Cheers Des, This does seem a good risk/reward investment at current levels so I hope to buy more if the opportunity arises.. | playful
15/9/2014 14:50 | Welcome playful. Me and BB are expecting the results either later this week or early next. As BB says they really have no excuses this time. The employment market is booming, they don't have Armstrong Craven to think about and they are now settled in their new premises. Whilst their Turnover has been decimated in recent periods gross margins are strongly improving and so with some expensive people removed from the payroll over the last twelve months one hopes that an improved top line would quickly reduce hefty Operating Losses. The drift in share price is disconcerting and may have something behind it. But equally it may be due to a few tiny uninformed sells and there has simply been zero buy side interest for quite some time (why would there be ?). Indeed your small buys moving the Offer back up shows the effect that illiquidity has on this share in both directions. Fingers crossed. Des | deswalker
15/9/2014 12:59 | Thanks BB2 I know Des has been here waiting patiently so thought I’d join the club. | playful
15/9/2014 12:54 | Welcome onboard playful!!! Lonely old thread this. Hopefully the imminent results will show progress as it's been a very long haul.. You've got to believe their market place is as good as it's been for sometime but we will see. | battlebus2
15/9/2014 12:43 | Just collected a small amount | playful
15/9/2014 12:38 | Market cap only 1.6 million with cash value? | battlebus2
14/8/2014 07:12 | Market cap now only 1.82 million. | battlebus2
04/8/2014 12:00 | Fingers crossed Des, results 30/08/2013 so not long before we see. | battlebus2
04/8/2014 11:47 | Hi bb - I noticed that too. Surprised we haven't had a Trading Statement as in previous years. Looking at the performance of the wider economy generally and PNA and to a lesser extent RTC in particular it will be a sad indictment of the management here if we are not trading pretty well IMO. Des | deswalker
04/8/2014 11:27 | Well atleast we have a new logo..... hopefully for a new beginning...... | battlebus2
04/8/2014 08:45 | Thanks for informing us shrout, still believe we are undervalued but seem to be the only one for now. Got to believe we are slowly improving but with results later this month we will see. | battlebus2
04/8/2014 08:28 | I'm out as well this morning bb2. Not prepared to take the chance of mounting losses. I've been thinking of selling for a while and this morning's drop has decided it. Hope it comes good for you. best of luck. | shrout
04/8/2014 07:17 | Someone taking a hit to get out? | battlebus2
12/6/2014 13:56 | Not me. Curious why these Special Resolutions were dropped and wondering if Jon Moulton or some other large shareholders signalled that they would vote against. I do get the feeling that things might start to improve from here. I gather that last September they essentially started the business afresh after the sale of AC, then the Directors bought more shares and now we are told that things are looking better for 2014. Wish I understood why it was so crucial for the EBT to have so many shares and why it was necessary to sell the Treasury shares to the EBT at 5.75p. Fingers crossed ... | deswalker
12/6/2014 13:18 | Did anyone here attend the Agm ? | davidosh
10/6/2014 13:39 | well..... Work Group plc (LSE - AIM: "WORK") announces that at its Annual General Meeting held earlier today, all the proposed resolutions were duly passed, with the exception of Resolutions 8 and 9, which were withdrawn by the board. Resolution 8 would have allowed the Directors to allot shares for cash, without making any such prior offer to shareholders. Resolution 9 would have permitted the directors to carry out a buy back up to 2,862,247 of the Company's issued ordinary shares by market purchase Don't know what to make of that! | janeann
21/5/2014 10:39 | Is anyone planning on attending the AGM at Marble Arch on 10 June at 12.30pm ? Hopefully somebody will be able to make it. | deswalker
28/4/2014 12:29 | Well I liked the results and the tone of Simon's report. On first read i didn't take in just how much I believe we have improved since the Armstrong Craven disposal. To me the business is in great shape for the future with a cash pile to back this up. I've added on those strengths. Ali. | investali
25/4/2014 09:17 | Morning janeann, while disappointed with the headline figures we are making progress. The reduced second half loss if continued at the same rate should lead to a profit for year ending 2014 if we can keep a lid on exceptional costs. Some major contracts lost but seemingly low margin though they have seen an increase new business wins. We still have 1.3 million cash and no debt so the current business is valued at 1 million. Still a long term hold for me and although the shares are currently unchanged over time i can see upside through my crystal ball. | battlebus2 |
