09/10/2019 11:31 | Weird the board have not dumped Woodford yet, they need to salvage something for investors, his brand is so toxic they probably need to change the name of it too. | porsche1945
09/10/2019 09:15 | ffs IH accounts late. Eddie Stobart, ESL accounts still not resolved (suspended 23rd Aug) , which started out as an error of around 2m so one wonders what's going on there "Whilst work remains ongoing in this regard, the Company expects that revenue for the first half will be approximately 450 million and Underlying EBIT1 for the same period is expected to be in the range of 10 to 11 million. Net debt at 31 May is expected to be approximately 155 million. The Group Auditor's review is not yet complete, and any impact on the Company's expectations for the HY19 Interim Results has not yet been determined." I mean they are confident to inform the market the profit within a million yet they can't get it signed off! | cc2014
09/10/2019 08:45 | NAV heading towards 60p it would seem At the present rate of decline should IMO get there in approx two to three weeks WPCT 35p then IMO becomes a distinct possibility Unless of course some worthy sees value here and buys it. | buywell3
09/10/2019 08:34 | Spec - they're using a slow cooker. | jonwig
09/10/2019 08:19 | Nearly there....the 30s. But further to go unfortunately for some. | hsfinch
09/10/2019 07:17 | How long does it take to add up zeros... | spectoacc
09/10/2019 07:10 | IH Holdings (CH link in header) flagged as "Accounts overdue". (The due date was 30/09.) | jonwig
08/10/2019 11:50 | 40p in todays times could now prove to be hard to break back above IMO | buywell3
08/10/2019 08:10 | Lol. Dalton Grant - good old Google. Love how OT this thread gets - the @Johnwigs & other trolls must be doing their nuts. | spectoacc
08/10/2019 08:09 | Dalton Philips ... he was "for the high jump", if that's what you mean! | jonwig
08/10/2019 08:00 | Wasn't Dalton Philips the high jumper? HL are damned either way - either they knew exactly what they were doing, which is appalling, or they're completely inept, which isn't much better. | spectoacc
08/10/2019 07:55 | Hargreaves is no longer on the board of course. He stood down as CEO in 2010. Hill joined HL in 2016 so the love-in with Woodford was already established: did he do nothing about it? And Dampier, ugh. This might resemble Morrisons, where Sir Ken was ousted and the new CEO, Dalton Philips threw out all his legacy; at the AGM in Bradford (2014 I think - I was there) Sir Ken gave him both barrels and he was off soon afterwards. | jonwig
08/10/2019 06:54 | Peter Hargreaves (in the Sunday Times a few weeks ago) was a good read, but very disingenuous - "Hargreaves Lansdowne [of which I'm major shareholder and took a c£60m dividend and am copping a lot of flak] have let this [which any muppet could see from a simple glance at the WEIF holdings] go on far too long.." etc. Can't say I was too impressed, and in 6 months or so when all this really blows up, I hope HL get property dragged into it. Remember that they took a lot of grief with the Wealth50 and batted it all away, even recommended Woody's funds in the very week WEIF went under. (Sorry - "..was gated."). | spectoacc
07/10/2019 23:08 | "Hargreaves, most of whose £3bn-plus fortune is tied up in the investment service company, added: “The clients have been stuffed in this horrible Woodford fund.” “It’s annoyed the hell out of me that it would appear he [Woodford] has not been truthful with Hargreaves Lansdown. But it’s also annoyed me that they [Hargreaves Lansdown] let it go on so long,” - plenty more chapters to come in this saga. | spikeyj

07/10/2019 19:17 | Missed this from CityAM last week Points out that WPCT is close to breaching its own rules on limiting unquoteds to 80% of gross asset value - currently at 79.77%, but that's only if you treat Proton Partners/Rutherford Health as a quoted stock, despite the shares having barely traded since listing on the NEX exchange. If RUTH is properly classed as unquoted the trust has already blown throughits limits. | daffyjones
07/10/2019 19:10 | psychocomper - pretty funny, although if Woody really had been targeting an annualised minus 10% return, he'd STILL be underperforming - WPCT should be around 59 to 65p this year | daffyjones
07/10/2019 18:10 | Pete, the only reason I cannot state how stupid you are is because I am unaware of the SI unit for it. Yes, Chomper and Chopper do share a keyboard as is well established, and openly so. I used to have my own, but I spilled a noxious substance over it when performing a cold fusion experiment, whereupon the letter “m” and the letter “p changed places which has caused the autocorrect function to misbehave. But can anyone make the same “gibberish mistakes” as those, including yourself, who continued to believe in this nonsense investment. When I say “investment Woodford was correct in saying 10% per annum - perhaps he also had an autocorrect malfunction which did not recognise the “-“ [minus]key. You see, happens to us all - different outcome, though. | psychochomper
07/10/2019 17:52 | chucko - a Woodford employee, sent to see off the naysayers. And not an experienced user of bulletin boards, as he was too ready to take personal offence rather than blank people. Is he still working at WIM? Unlikey. Or was he the guy pictured here ... | jonwig
07/10/2019 17:34 | ... and RAM was the most intelligent bull writing on this board. The diamonds seem to have become charcoal. researchanalystman - 31 Dec 2018 - 15:57:52 - 5273 of 10551 ::: WOODFORD PATIENT CAPITAL TRUST ::: - WPCT Chucko1 you said ‘Jonwig is correct, you seem not to see the wood for the trees.’ ——— au contraire. .. The diamonds in the kimberlite. and yes WPCT is a risk investment - it’s meant to be ! | chucko1 |
