20/9/2018 09:40 | No redemptions possible in WPCT, idiot. They never learn, these thickos, do they? BTW WPCT storming upwards today, LOL | 1tcm1
20/9/2018 09:40 | No redemptions possible in WPCT, idiot. They never learn, these thickos, do they? | 1tcm1
20/9/2018 09:38 | Has to pay for redemptions somehow, most of it underwater or illiquid so damage limitation exercise to try and meet redemptions, amazed more havnt cashed out, inertia or blind hope i guess. | porsche1945
20/9/2018 09:38 | You're not very bright for a blue are you, chemical bear? BLND as far as I know was never in WPCT. Try the WIM thread, more suitable for your 'talents'. jonwig will tell you how to get there, I think he's a shepherd or something like that. Deals with a lot of sheep in Cumbria in one way or another. | 1tcm1
20/9/2018 08:46 | hxxps://youtu.be/aub Just in February this year, Woody was raving about what a good prospect British Land was, having loaded up on it and other property/land shares. Yet looking at the latest portfolios he has completely sold out his BLND stake across all his funds. BLND is down 10% since that video was made so I doubt it was profit-taking. Has he lost the courage of his convictions or is this more juggling to ensure he has cash to feed his hungry unquoteds? | daffyjones
19/9/2018 18:04 | I'm Bordering on it; an Alderman would. | lewis121
19/9/2018 16:07 | LOL lewis. I do hopw you are not proposing a Boycott. | ltcm1
19/9/2018 15:22 | LOL We, the oracles, did warn you. Ⓜ️inerv | minerve
19/9/2018 15:20 | @ Topvest, indeed where is the Margin of Safety? Corridor of Uncertainty, more like. | lewis121
19/9/2018 14:04 | Purple B now heading down the toilet, another Woodford Winner. | porsche1945
19/9/2018 12:34 | Good point...where is the Margin of safety in his portfolio's? I don't see it at all. Overconfidence is a dangerous attribute, particularly after a long bull market. | topvest
19/9/2018 11:01 | No expert here but maybe 2.5% plus any dividend payments??? Well Purp are 232 today so presumably Shareprophets are well up on that one. Who knows what they have done here??? If say Benelovent AI list they will get blown out of the water. When I first came here a few months back it was with the idea of looking through WPCT and buying a few of the quoteds I liked the look of. I honed it down to ALM, Xeros and Benchmark, there did seem to be merit in all three businesses. Just as well I didn't go ahead with it! The Xeros one seems particularly disappointing, it seemed a great concept. It appears they are at a major inflection point but I thought the idea was very interesting. There is no doubt Neil's stock has taken a battering this last year. He sounded very credible when talking about healthcare a year ago on that YT clip, but in that Income Fund interview he seemed shellshocked. I thought it was revealing when he said he spent so much of his time juggling positions in order to keep to the regulations and it can't have got better since. A few months ago I thought if Woodford was in it was a big plus on a stock (except Purplebricks which seemed very over-hyped) but now I don't have the same belief in his stockpicking in WPCT and Income picks. Yes WPCT may yet come good. But the Woodford aura is gone for now at least. | ltcm1
18/9/2018 23:01 | Dingleberries and fluff! Ha ha ha. Sounds like a Cliff Richard Xmas record. I’ve never shorted in my life and I’m not certain of the mechanics, but surely it must cost this incompetent shareprophet organisation a huge amount. I mean it’s a hell of a long time to keep their silly short positions open? Anybody with some elucidation? | mochyn
18/9/2018 22:02 | What he can do is to sell things like IMB which is 9% of the income fund, although that will cost him dear in terms of income. If he touches stuff which is also in WPCT, like PURP, then that’s where the contagion rears it’s head. NRR is another headache for him, although I see that as a fine stock (REIT) in the long run, and own it meaningfully myself. He needs the aggressive and concentrated picks like the builders and finance stuff to kick in soon or his main funds could get whittled away further, with nasty consequences for WPCT, absent of significant new liquidity events for the latter. Whichever way you look at it, he seems to have underestimated the degree of safety required when having the same investments in all his funds when there is a high proportion of unquoted stocks. I actually think the greater sinner here is the Income Fund. | chucko1
18/9/2018 20:21 | Woodford has lost so much on the Income fund his punters are cashing their chips in, which leads to yet further selling. Topvest you are right to raise this most important matter, the contagion of cross-contamination has afflicted Woodford and is spreading to WPCT. | ltcm1
18/9/2018 20:04 | As Purplebricks continues to collapse what does this mean for the listed : non-listed split here? | topvest
18/9/2018 14:39 | IG wont give me a price to short Purp, is ther some really bad news on the ether.... | porsche1945
18/9/2018 12:30 | We are 1% down, this at a point where there has been multiple failure of the support level in the past. It bodes ill that there is a large 'W', like a black spot, in the middle of the chart. My early day optimism has ebbed away like a Keats mist... | ltcm1
18/9/2018 10:15 | ltcm1 - please don’t start getting emotional! | chucko1
18/9/2018 10:14 | Yes, PURP heading in the opposite direction and the omens seem grim on that one. The fact that that stock is in the Income fund (and Focus) is troublesome when considering the purpose of those two funds. Of course it’s reasonable to question why they are there. | chucko1
18/9/2018 10:07 | At $1.5mm pa, will need a few more of these to reestablish growth supporting a much higher price. I wish them well, but even the 40% jump in share price this morning is a small step. | chucko1
18/9/2018 09:40 | Guys N Gals RM2 has landed a contract!!! Is this the first step on a journey of a thousand miles??? Will we look back upon this morning as the day WPCT finally turned around???!!! In honour of this momentous event I will say nice things about WPCT all day! | ltcm1
18/9/2018 09:34 | Purp seems to be heading South at some speed now, sub 2.50, another ALM and the next " Woodford Winner ". | porsche1945 |
