The temptation of 4.4p has proved just too much for one investor. Sold and taken his/her profit and now the price goes up!!!

alaneanthony -Just got a quote of 5.25 for 100k with TDW. Don't know if that means the MMs have stock or just don't want you buying any and will attempt to mug you on the way down.

xcap - 21st Dec 2011 T1ps sold all their shares here 12,577,836, notified on the 23rd Dec 2011

23rd Dec 2011 Consmin bought those shares 12,577,836, notified on the 5th Jan 2012 taking them up to 13,577,631 It was at that point that some of us started to get interested here again, with jojo leading the charge and engelo and I close behind.

knowsleyman1 - unless they still hold some of TW stock but I thought I read somewhere it had been all sold to a friend or something?

I suspect that the MMs have left themselves badly short here. Towards the close they upped the offer to 4.75p only to find a buyer prepared to pay 4.825p for a modest holding. I think that this morning it may well open well up on bid and offer.

A 'tree shake' could well leave them having to sell even more shares that they do not hold.

The only other alternative that I see is that they have a line available off market, but from who?

Thanks to both of you.

Sounds good for £800,000

We need confirmation of total mine reserves, quality in ground, quality at gate, and cost per ton to mine/process/etc. If we have just a bit of of 99.9% graphite coming through and the mining/refining/transport costs are conservative (say $700/ton) we are making serious money: ($3000 - $700) x 12000 pa = $27.6m x 0.15 = $4.14m pa. Based on a modest p/e of 4, the Graphmada investment would be worth about $16.5m, say £10m... for an investment of just $1.275m (£0.8m approx).
All guesstimates, could be wrong. Please check my figures.

If near correct, and we manage to double our stake before production starts in Q2 (which we can do from existing funds/holdings), we will have a resource which is worth over £20m -more if you use a forward p/e. Share price should be a leading indicator, in which case it will have to motor between now and May/June.

Time for bed.

stratmin paid $1.275m for 15% and no-one knows what it is worth until more info becomes available about graphmada..

MMs surprised by the sudden increase in buying. Probably got caught out - not used to the recent increase in activity in a share that used to be very quiet.

Some of the 3.7p - 4.08p trades were probably sells. They may only be able to attract sellers by lifting the price. I don't see a tree-shake having any effect here with PIs like us lot. It would probably make matters worse - just bring in more buyers for stock that they haven't got. It's more likely they'll run the price up and try and attract momentum buyers. It could be the last chance to get stock under 5p. Last buy was at 4.82p. I can see us breaking 5p tomorrow.

If we get some positive news it could go mad.

IMPO/DYOR.

Marab in answer to what might come next:

"Projects will be sourced globally without geographic limitation and will be assessed with a focus toward near term production and cash flow potential"

per stated investment criteria of Stratmin (WSAG) :-) (is that the right way round?)

xcap - the potential is definitely there so you may well be right. The graphite investment was totally unexpected so who knows what will come next. 2012 is going to be very interesting here and who knows how things will look at the end of the year. Like most here, I see this as being potentially one of the best investments on AIM.

agree with you marab, but I still feel, all things being equal, and with all that may and will happen as stated chronologically on this BB and by WSAG from 1 Jan, share price will be well over 10p during/end Q2 or much sooner on news
imo

Today was a good opportunity to get out with a decent profit and the fact that no-one here seemed inclined to take advantage of that, doesn't suggest a big sell off tomorrow. With so few shares, taking a quick profit with the idea of buying back cheaper would appear to be a bigger gamble than just holding. The company hasn't really started yet and as xcap said earlier, it might be toward the end of the year before the share price starts to motor. First sales of graphite might get things moving though in the middle of the year.
