Doubt these will breakout......one of the most boring stocks I own.....a plodder. I add regularly as it should provide steady capital and income growth, but fireworks and rapid price moves.....I'd be looking elsewhere. I do love an under the radar plodder like WIN though.

Trading statement in March to close the year and results in May.....the update should swing the share price higher.

If the Times article has any foundation re a buy out this year, I would suggest a move will come soon, because another update saying Wincanton are rocking will definitely make us more expensive.

Roll on March

Got to comment on that.....yes divi is coming and going up, but growth potential....no one is talking about.

Asda are talking to Wincanton now, all logistics including home deliveries....just one deal but worth 200m.

On the cusp....

A positive write-up on Motley Fool:

Conclusion:

"But for those like me looking for strong and sustained dividend growth over the long term I think Wincanton is worthy of close attention today as the e-commerce market continues to grow."

And this time round they are geared to operate under COVID regulations .Back in March last year everything panicked and closed down. Wincanton now trading 10 percent above precondition levels !!!

During the initial pandemic close down last March all new apprenticeships and the graduate programme were put on ice.

As a sign of of Wincanton's strong recovery and strong trading across all sectors this year they will apparently now take a more apprentices and graduates at record levels.

The company is booming, next update 20th March give or take a few days, maybe news of new contracts or existing contracts rolling out (Waitrose) updates in between.

And always the outside chance of a buy out as suggested in the Times.

Right place to be imo.

.....being held, if anyone (The Times, January 2021 re buy outs) want to make a move on Wincanton they know the window is closing and to make it acceptable to offer 500p and make sure the price is 300p, all my own thinking....but I didnt make up the Times article, still online to read.
