Bit optimistic after today's close ;-( We have had a decent late afternoon buyer over the last week or so. Seems to have gone AWOL today. Hopefully just a temporary phenomenon.

Felt like a long wait, but great to see Win’s share price progress over the last few weeks. It’s a core holding for me, so no hurry to take profits - some way to go yet as the story gets recognised IMV. In the meantime, taken an initial stake in Xpediator. Some way smaller than Win, but if you are looking for another logistics play it’s worth considering. £200m+ t/o, £6m+ pbt, grown 18%+ last year, cash in the bank, recent acquisition should drive growth in 2021. Cap at £52m, so looks decent value @33p.

net the markets played this exactly as i expected today....let all the profit takers leave this morning before the real interest continues.

Did take more at 279p this morning.

Everything should looking be excellent and the markets are just waiting for the update.

Clipper been rising again this morning.

WIN need to plug hard:
1) We have great retail customers.
2) Lockdown will end PERMANENTLY sometime in Feb (as elderly all stabbed in the arm with the vaccine by then).
3) Waitrose et al going from strength to strength
4) Clipper's last mile delivery will decrease after lockdown ends
5) WIN deliveries will increase after lockdown ends
6) Invest for the future
7) WIN Profits can only go up from this point.

Well 350p is basically a bag from my initial entry so ld be very happy if it did make that.

dple non aggressive, just how can Wincanton trade on pe of 9 or 10 when its going flat out.

Same time Clipper are on a multi of 30 plus.

Market is catching up 350p by next Friday :)

Market has generally ignored WIN materially ahead. I would expect the next one they put out won't. Cash is flowing back into UK equities and this is far too cheap on so many levels. RCH rocketing higher today shows what can happen once you clear out stale bulls.

Nothing definite, but certainly on the cards, but Wincanton are gently becoming the supply masters for supermarkets in the UK.

All this at a time when supermarkets are at full stretch.

...and for some reason the markets aren't warming to them, but they will, very low pe rating against any other peer

Watching the action yesterday prompted me to buy back today, it seemed a little knowledge was involved.

The company will not experience anything like the spring downturn of last years shut down....and I am informed trading has been very strong since the last TS.

Definitely room to the upside as the markets suggest this lockdown will hurt again, it may a little but all the extra work on the books will easily bypass that. Expecting a new trading statement soon suggesting further market beat.

My target is 300p target short term.

Edit many of the Wincanton main markets are in fact booming in lockdown, all food and supermarkets, DIY, e-fulfilment, nuclear etc
