08/5/2002 00:38 | I thought you might not have to register - Seymour Pierce web site security seems non existent. CR | cockneyrebel
08/5/2002 00:31 | CR Thanks for the Seymour Price. (I didn't have to register). See your reasoning for the price rise. Could be so, but the sheer size of the deals looks like something else to me. 2 x 300k this a.m for example. If that's just private client buying Seymour Price must have some pretty loaded clients! The pattern today is different - 2 x 300k deals early. I wonder what the "magic hour" (4p.m.) will bring this afternoon. Cheers | drumullie
07/5/2002 10:42 | https://www.analysti Here's the Seymour Pierce first note just released May 3. (you might need to register to read it but worth registering. As I say this a 300K trade goes through @ the mid - interesting. CR | cockneyrebel
07/5/2002 10:35 | Just been tipped on Bloomberg by Seymour Pierce. Might be part of the reason for their recent buys as they tell their clients to buy before tipping. CR | cockneyrebel
04/5/2002 07:28 | Cat Man: Ta for the good luck. As this is a lonely BB I\'ll carry on on the Free BB. Thread there is "Wilmington in Rentless Decline". (It\'s not crowded there either) I\'m intrigued with the pattern. Like a morgue each day until 4p.m. when for the last 4 days we suddenly find several hundreds of thousands of shares changing hands in huge parcels. I\'m watching v closely in the hope of using this one as part of the learning process. Of course it would have been better if I'd noticed that on 25 April, BEFORE all these big deals, a director had bought OVER 1 MILLION SHARES (£1.4m+). Quite a stake in a comparatively small firm. No wonder there have been some big deals following - but by whom? | drumullie
03/5/2002 21:54 | CR As I said - quiet again most of the day. But things hotted up,once again,at a couple of minutes to four, didn't they? What do you make of yet another 800K+ changing hands at 170? That makes 2m + over the last 4 days. I've tried Citywire for "shrewdies" dealing, but nothing yet. What a catholic taste you have in Sunday papers! A bientot. P.S. Shows what a poor researcher I am: On April 25, before all these big trades, one of the directors bought OVER ONE MILLION SHARES, worth around £1.4m. Not peanuts in a comparatively small firm. This was followed by a small purchase of 9k by another director a few days later. | drumullie
03/5/2002 18:24 | Off a penny today after a few sellers having taken the divi. Sunday Times is good for a share in the board room for noting share buys, I think the Sunday Express has 'look who's dealing'. CR | cockneyrebel
03/5/2002 14:23 | CR Still a twosome I see. All a bit quieter today, but then things don't usually start happening until around 4p.m. (I've had a peek at WDSW, thanks, but don't let's lose the thread..........) Want to organise a two-man sweep on the first tipster to spot WIL's funny goings on? | drumullie
02/5/2002 20:14 | Drum' Those trades were buys - they are marked 'd' and 'T' so delayed reported. I'd guess the 171.5p are buys at 0.5p below offer, early morning. The 230K looks like a buy from first thing. I use two brokers - couldn't get anything off the other day when I bought and my girl is good, usually gets well withing spread but mm's not playing with this - same happened with WDSW - that's worth watching too. On line a couple of days ago I managed to get 1K just before the rise, then tried another 1K and the mm's had killed it. Yesterday I couldn't bu 500 on line - crazy, but suggests that are not flush with stock. Those director buys should give the old tipsters a wake up call with a bit of luck. D | cockneyrebel
02/5/2002 19:06 | Drumullie I trade exclusively from my own software, which signalled me to short this last year. The stringent rules do not allow me to take a position unless it's signalled so I'll sit it out for the time being and keep watch with interest. Best of luck and hope it goes your way. :-) CM | cat man
02/5/2002 11:00 | CR - nice to see a friend. That 230k delayed trade is shown by the computer as a SELL, but judging by the price movement it's almost definitely a BUY. It was being accumulated at lower prices that the quote shown against the final recorded trade that the computer "guesses" from. I hope so, cos I couldn't resist topping up first thing this a.m. Oh by the way - Schwab got me 0.7p (I think it was) off the MM quote and the deal took all of 15 secs. Mebbe you need to have a word with your broker Not much on this spread but every .01 counts. (I'm not ramping Schwab cos I think their prices are still high, but that's another story) I'll pop back here from time to time to see if we're still just a twosome. Like you I think we may be joined by others in the fullness of time. | drumullie
02/5/2002 10:39 | Up this am nice and - hey presto! A 230K delayed but goes through :-) Looks like me and you are talking to ourselves Drumullie - bet there will be a load more on here an a weeks time tho. Something certainly seems to be happenening - institutional buying or a predator - would make a cheap acquisition at this level I guess. D | cockneyrebel |
