Probably cost them more to open and it increases the move to digital. More customers online they can close more shops.

Quick snapshot as I understand it.So they basically have the largest retail footprint and have a deal/jv with Eldorado to provide their sports books on and offline. Eldorado own 20% of the US venture.Now Eldorado are merging with Caesars then their footprint will be massive (it's the largest casino company in the US) and Hills will have a lot more sports books to set up.However, Tom Reeg who is the CEO of Eldorado needs to address the large debt pile. This will be done by selling properties and streamlining (already being done by default). They have also floated the idea of spinning out the US sports business - which was mentioned at the Nevada review.Most people who follow the US scene will appreciate the difference in valuations.

Well particularly as it didn't feel to me like a toppy valuation even then. Doesn't seem that the potential Eldorado/Caesars impact is registering at all

Be amazed if this goes lower, MLS is back daily, Test Cricket back with 10m turnover by 2pm on first day on BettyNBA and MLB back end July, NFL and NHL soon after and in less than two months all 4 leagues in US will be in action simultaneously (for the first time ever')

Just bought in here-mainly for its US presence. Small market cap compared to rivals. Seems to be struggling, esp so soon after raising cash at a higher price so would be surprised if there are too many skeletons left in the cupboard. Could it be a big holder getting out? Any UK news largely discounted.

"LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Gaming Control Board approved the merger of gaming giants Caesars Entertainment and Eldorado Resorts, clearing another hurtle to combine the two.

Last month, the Federal Trade Commission concluded its review of the merger and conditionally approved plans to put about 60 casinos and resorts in 16 states under a single name.

Regulators has demanded Eldorado has to sell some of its properties, including the Montbleu in Lake Tahoe, and the Eldorado Shreveport Resort and Casino in Louisiana.

William Hill will operate the sports books of the new Caesars properties, officials said.

State officials in Indiana and New Jersey still have to approve the deal."
