Bud Light sales have fallen 26.8% as backlash over promotion with trans Dylan Mulvaney shows no sign of slowing down. Be interesting how it's going with Wickes sales

The public memory is generally said to be a fortnight, thus if WIX just get on with their knitting, and send that COO on a bit of gardening leave and the media decide they have better fish to fry, then the fashionable far left trans twaddle will likely be soon forgot. I assume whoever heads up Screw Fix will have the wits to not wander into far left political flag waving, but just get on with selling stuff at the best prices for their customers.

Never thought of the Trans community as Wickes shoppers. No desire to either. Absolutely NO interest whatsoever in what they do in the privacy of their own homes with another consenting adult (or 2 if its Woody Allen).

In my travels I notice there are customers in and out, of Wix and KGF who operate the same policy.
I have not witnessed any demonstrations, or further comment in ‘The Sun’, and what might be other builders’ favourites.
I do not consider Wix’s culture and policies to be other than in line with all major business.
I am not fearful to enter, on grounds that I might suffer discrimination of any kind arising from mis-interpretation by employees of the company’s policy toward it’s customers.
I suspect most shoppers, like me, will have no greater interest in Wix’s or any other business’s support for minority groups than hitherto.

Good time to contact investor relations advice the board of directors to focus on business please and do something positive to boost the share price and make the business one open to investors. I think this COO needs to be pushed he's generating too much divisive negative news which has created a boycott

Might be best for shareholders if WIX remembers that they are in fact a builders merchant, and concentrate on providing the best value to customers, balancing the books, and paying their staff on time. If one wants far Left propaganda that's what the BBC is for!

I notice The Treasury is saying it won't bailout homeowners failing on their mortgages, that won't help the building trade.

Wix is my first stop for building stuff, but perhaps too early to be picking up any shares just yet.

My guess is that if anything, Wix will double down on it, perhaps highlighting any misconceptions about what their policy towards customers and staff actually is.

Wickes and share holders shouldn't be victims of the woke cult clown. He should just be sacked.

I don't think this idiot will shut it, the best thing we can hope for is that he gets pushed

A survey of one! I popped into the Norwich Wickes 8pm Friday, and mentioned the COO had put his foot in his mouth to the woman on the Till. She had been on since 1pm and had been dreading facing builder types about the idiot 'woke' boss. But it turned out I was the only person who had mentioned it. So if the clown just keeps his trap shut and is sent on gardening leave for a month the whole thing might blow over.

You have to wonder how these people ever get these high powered jobs, if they can't see that the 'woke' fashion is just a herd distraction, so that the media isn't full of economic meltdown and crime stories. But with the likes of the Bud Light story, one would have thought that the obvious thing to do, is to completely avoid any references to 'woke' or transgender or pronouns, or whatever far Left twaddle is the flavour of the month.

But all that aside, a chill wind blows through the housing market, builders merchants are going to see less trade for a while.

Wix does not self-identify, rather the reverse, but seems to have increased it’s public support of full inclusivity, to include trans, starting with the Brighton Pride event - at that time almost a year ago receiving plaudits as well as criticism and threats of boycott.

It costs a small fortune to sell up and move so if like me you are happy enough you invest and improve

Load of woke nonsense

When I go in a Wickes store I specifically look for value I don t give a stuff what they wear or how they self identify.

At the moment this looks like paying a very decent dividend and that is all that matters to me.

So all being well will continue to add when appropriate to me

My opinion my bad

Good luck in this to all

When the profit warning roll in they'll struggle to pay their dividends I think investors have two choices dump the stock or get the COO removed from the company. Personally I liked shopping at Wickes the probelm they have got is they are just a DIY store, everything they sell you can buy at B&Q, Homebase, Screwfix, Toolstation etc or just order it online. The only reason to go to Wickes will be on price, ease of parking (which will get even easier now), or locality.
