Gamble at best. Likelihood is a delist onto an illiquid exchange such as Share Mark (Remember Regent Inns?) and how the shareholders equity was weakened substantially.

Classic pump and dump! The company is undervalued on a naked pe but so what. debt for equity swap will wipe out shareholder value.

Why are the directors not buying? They are tasked with future survival of the business and renegotiation with banks. Not returning shareholder value.

Just sold out! JSG looks a better bet from here as an undervalued play with future potential for shareholders.

Good luck to all.

999RP, the other difference between WHY and HYC/WSH et al is that WHY are up to their ears in debt and without the relaxation of their banking covenant conditions would no longer be in business. HYC, WSH etc have all been quite clear about how many heads they have shed - just look at their results. I know which companies I'd rather own (and do).

Cheers,
Steve.

Bought some of these on IG Spread bet - Tuck em away till Mar 2010.
In my dealings with the company have always found them to be very professional.
Time will tell.

Must be said that there was g ood bounce today, could this be a good sign for the week, Like gisjob2 i too work in the industry for some 20 years and have seen alot of volatility. Unlike gisjob2 it should be noted that all companies like RPS, Hyder, WSP and many more have eperienced exposure to the current econoic conditions. The only fact is that WYG have come clean, the likes of other as mentioned keep it quiet, if you want proof i would challenge anyone to ring up the companies and ask how many redundancies have the made.

WYG will come through albeit diluted but i have a feeling someone might come along and buy the profitabel parts...

Totally agree , have traded this twice since its low point , but no more until we have some positive news from company , they will probably delist and be owned by the bankers until debt is sorted.

Wouldn't touch this company with a barge pole. Huge debt !. I work in this industry and it's commonly known about their troubles. Just ask yourself if you were a potential client handing out contracts, would you give a 3 year contract to a company that may not be around in a years time, or give it to someone else?. Not saying they won't survive but there are plenty of better gambles around. Civil Engineering is a bad market for companies with debt. Also because of the lack of contracts around, there is huge margin erosion on projects you do win.

Because of the nature of the work, projects run and run. Clients like to see a well run company, free of debt on a sound financial footing to run projects. If you do ignore this and invest, please don't over invest. Good luck !

the worse may be over, I am sure there are some assests of WHy that potential bidders will be looking at in detail.
