This was announced Jan 2008, does antone know if WNL have carried out seismic ops or drilling ops ?

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - White Nile Ltd (LSE: WNL.L - news) said it has signed a production sharing agreement (PSA) with the government

of Ethiopia for a 29,000 square km block in the Southern Rift Basin in south-western Ethiopia.

Under the PSA, the Ethiopian government has granted the sole right to the company to explore, develop and produce petroleum in the contract area, in return for satisfying various development commitments.

White Nile must invest at least 6 mln usd in seismic operations, due to begin in the fourth quarter of 2008, and a minimum of 8 mln on drilling operations.
