28/11/2008 15:55 | Looks like I missed out last week. Damn. Some news about Reverse takeovers. Note that it says the 'transaction can be accomplished within weeks' !! In a reverse takeover, shareholders of the private company purchase control of the public shell company and then merge it with the private company. The publicly traded corporation is called a "shell" since all that exists of the original company is its organizational structure. The private company shareholders receive a substantial majority of the shares of the public company and control of its board of directors. The transaction can be accomplished within weeks. If the shell is an SEC-registered company, the private company does not go through an expensive and time-consuming review with state and federal regulators because this process was completed beforehand with the public company. I'll keep watch! The transaction involves the private and shell company exchanging information on each other, negotiating the merger terms, and signing a share exchange agreement. At the closing, the shell company issues a substantial majority of its shares and board control to the shareholders of the private company. The private company's shareholders pay for the shell company by contributing their shares in the private company to the shell company that they now control. This share exchange and change of control completes the reverse takeover, transforming the formerly privately held company into a publicly held company. | cn100
28/11/2008 15:53 | Time to take the profit while you can otherwise huge shorts are opening on white nile. BURN TIME. | marleytonglide

28/11/2008 15:40 | For a reverse take over into this company White Nile is a myth it takes literally 4 to 6 months of administration and red tape to progress for this to happen. Also with the Sudanease Goverment not exactly been efficient. Then white nile will suffer in the mean time and indications this will be sold off today and next week other wise something would have happened fast Very dangerous situation SELL White nile for your own good. | marleytonglide
28/11/2008 15:13 | Marleytonglide - The "rumours" we have been speculating are here for us all to see... May I ask where you have your rumours from? TIA. I notice that around 385,000 shares have traded since about 9 am today, most of them sells by the faint hearted (GL2 - were you one of them?). But the bid price has remained at 2.1p I wonder why? Hmmm, wouldn't be that the mm's want us to sell by any chance? | sakamuka
28/11/2008 15:07 | marley, yes, it does appear that White Nile will shortly cease as a business and just become a cash shell. this should be announced in the pre-christmas results. they will then just wait & hope that he reverses another company into it to rescue it from administration. i am staying out till the results. would rather buy into a definate rising share price at a premium than gamble now and risk losing alot. good luck to all. | pork belly
28/11/2008 14:18 | This company White nile is not responding to any contact what so ever as they refuse to reply to any form of contacts. Mr Edmunds is a very arrogant person in real life. Rumours have it that white nile and the Sudan goverment are about to retract there joint venture for drilling for natural resources, due to political tensions between two countries. This latest share price is false hope and will be even lower than early this week of 1p. not for widows of orphans, SELL. White Nile exploration Ltd | marleytonglide
28/11/2008 10:42 | Porky - Did you try emailing Hugo? Don't be too annoyed about not getting in yesterday, even at todays price you will still multi-bag on this one...wouldn't leave it much longer after today mind you! Expecting another 40% today!!! (minimum). | sakamuka
28/11/2008 09:18 | 2.12 to sell now..........well in profit at the mo | farnham
28/11/2008 08:53 | Yes, this is starting to look more encouraging. As I have said before, Groves and Edmonds will pull something out of a hat here in my opinion. | topvest

27/11/2008 17:58 | Final results 17-Dec-2007 Earlier this year: "Speculators' favourite White Nile was up 1¼p at 49p. The miner, which had hoped to make its fortune in Sudan, has now signed a production sharing agreement with the Government of Ethiopia. White Nile must invest £3m in seismic operations, due to start later this year, and a minimum £4m on drilling operations." | fountains |
