14/11/2008 11:31 | I'm looking to buy into this company. The assets and money in the bank seem to be worth something at least well above 1p? Or is this too simplistic and maybe there are other forces in the background dragging the share price down? Decisions, decisions, decisions. | mr thrifty
14/11/2008 11:27 | Buy on-line 1.03. Can understand the share price movement? Bid this morning 1.40 now 0.75?. | mr thrifty

14/11/2008 07:22 | wnl.. SUDAN ON HOLD... NIGERIA? KENYA? ETHIOPIA? if oil was AT $147.. what would WNL share price be.?? | risk investor
14/11/2008 07:19 | forget about sudan for a while..WNL have other interests... this from the vog RNS.. Falcon Petroleum Falcon has three very prospective blocks in Ethiopia's Abay (Blue Nile) Basin, Ab-1, Ab-4, and Ab-7, and initial findings are very promising. The blocks contain seeps, with oil sample analyses indicating maturity and migration from depth and gravity data indicating sediment thickness in the basin of circa five kilometres. These are very promising attributes in terms of prospectivity and a number of major companies are bidding for the surrounding blocks. Falcon's Mali Block 17 is situated in the Nara Trough and offset data from a passive seismic survey of a neighbouring block indicates that the basin is prospective. Mali has had very little oil and gas exploration activity in the past, but has attracted the interest of a number of major and independent oil companies in the last two years. Planning is underway for passive seismic surveys for Mali and Ethiopia | risk investor
13/11/2008 19:00 | do you really think a country like sudan will give a toss about giving them their money back...lol...2 hopes and ones bob | doorway

13/11/2008 16:03 | White Nile lifted by Sudan stake plan By By*Alida*Smith and*Neil Hume Published: November 8 2008 02:00 | Last updated: November 8 2008 02:00 White Nile , the oil exploration company chaired by former England Test cricketer Phil Edmonds, was in demand. Its shares, which hit 180p in April 2006, jumped 36 per cent to 135p as dealers spotted a potential trading opportunity. White Nile is seeking approval to convert the 44 per cent stake owned by the south Sudanese government into non-voting deferred shares. If the deal gets the go-ahead, White Nile would in effect be a shell company with cash exceeding its market value. Traders believe Mr Edmonds could then reverse another of his Africa ventures into the company. | oldenglish |
