10/10/2019 16:02 | The gap from the Costa sale announcement was finally closed, if I'm looking at the chart correctly. Made one buy today, perhaps should have bought a few more with well under 40 being available this morning. | essentialinvestor
10/10/2019 12:48 | That was the transaction I referred to recently | essentialinvestor
10/10/2019 10:32 | Morning EI. Now there's a thought :-) 10th oct RBC 'underperform' tp 3800p cut from 4500p | philanderer
09/10/2019 09:27 | Phil, they should have bought GRG with the proceeds. They could have added circa 100 million on pre tax with cost savings. | essentialinvestor
08/10/2019 17:49 | I'd have thought that WTB is starting to look very vulnerable at sub 4000p .. but these are strange times. | philanderer
08/10/2019 16:40 | Small amount @ just under 39.99. The gap up on the Costs sale news fills at around 39.30 area approx..? If that's incorrect apologies. | essentialinvestor
08/10/2019 16:04 | When I mentioned these may be available under 40 a share was not expecting that within a few days. | essentialinvestor
08/10/2019 14:52 | Do Coca Cola pay the same UK tax rate as Whitbread did? Loss for shareholders and loss for UK tax revenues if Coca Coal pay less tax that Whitbread did. Shareholder gain from selling Costa????? | zeppo
08/10/2019 13:49 | Afternoon EI, the portfolio is not a pretty looking sight today .. ( again ) | philanderer
08/10/2019 13:45 | Will say this, they royally fuked up that 2 billion GBP buy back, North of 49 a share. | essentialinvestor

05/10/2019 16:22 | What made me more cautious was someone connected to the CFO dumping over 300k worth of shares over the summer. | essentialinvestor
03/10/2019 18:15 | Phil, having seen what happened to Green King you never know!. If anyone had said they would be bid for at well over £8... Thought around £38 here at some point fwiw, if no bid. There is a significant cyclical element to the business, more so now ex Costa, that tends to be forgotten, business travel etc. | essentialinvestor
03/10/2019 17:48 | EI, hopefully priced in maybe ? | philanderer
03/10/2019 14:12 | Hi Phil, not particularly hopeful short term, interims may paint an ugly picture, particularly on the outlook. | essentialinvestor
03/10/2019 13:52 | Afternoon EI , some good annual gains across the portfolio getting knocked down this week. Just sitting on my hands apart from buying a few CWK . Luck with your WTB. | philanderer
03/10/2019 12:42 | Had a very small amount, around £38 would not surprise me - providing no bid. Is Airbnb disrupting the sector?. | essentialinvestor
03/10/2019 12:35 | Getting a little ugly atm. | essentialinvestor
30/9/2019 19:36 | There are some very good ones, overall I've been happy enough (except with parking arrangements which are to some extent an aside). It's a bit of a conundrum in that the best hotels seem to have some of the worst parking arrangements - in my experience! | bountyhunter
30/9/2019 19:05 | bh, never stayed at that one. Last one I stayed at was at Leeds/Bradford airport and very good it was too :-) | philanderer
30/9/2019 18:44 | There is quite some variation in standards between different hotels I must agree although generally I have been content in terms of value for money. Parking can be a problem and more consideration should be given to that. The worst Premier Inn I have ever stayed at (left early as couldn't stick out the night with everything unpleasant, dirty and noisy) was without doubt the one at Llantrisant (winter before last). Anyone else stayed there? | bountyhunter |
