11/11/2021 14:04 | Underwhelming, Nerja I think sums it up. Early days in the recovery. Strong position to take advantage of whatever comes. But for now, losses and no dividends | makinbuks

17/6/2021 18:18 | I think its more complex than that: in travel, hospitals are going to be busy forever so the smiths/M &S outlets will be fine, rail remains very depressed and not clear how and when that will return to pre COVID levels (only solution for the trains themselves was effective nationalisation)and in travel there is a geographical split between US/Europe and ROW as well as a business/leisure split (leisure will recover business will not). So a very mixed picture and interesting to see over the next two years how it pans out | makinbuks
17/6/2021 09:51 | Should move up quickly as soon as vaccine passport sorted | leedslad001
26/5/2021 13:28 | Topped up again | leedslad001
17/5/2021 16:31 | Yup should be fine Fills a dominant niche space on the high street and in travel locations and hospitals. Very conservatively run. A forever stock for me | undervaluedassets
29/4/2021 10:57 | Fantasticaly well managed business. Pre pandemic it was all about no debt, organic growth in travel and cost reduction on the high street. Managed very successfully and they published every year a table showing the return to shareholders via buybacks and dividends going back ten years. It looks like post pandemic is going to be very different. Firstly we have the two acquisitions and now 100 new sites announced, but with it comes a level of gearing. Smart move in my view to do this via a convertible bond with a strike price 40% above current value. I think thats an indication of what we can expect from SMWH over the next 3 - 5 years | makinbuks
29/4/2021 08:21 | Added today for long term hold | leedslad001
28/4/2021 17:07 | Great set of results lots to look forward to over coming years | leedslad001
23/4/2021 16:41 | People are desperate to get out and spend money. Nearly everyone I know can't wait to go abroad I have 3 holidays booked and looking to go to turkey end may for 3 weeks it will be boom time for retailers this year. It's the year after that things might cool down. Results next week should have a very positive forward looking statement | leedslad001
23/4/2021 14:21 | Surely pre COVID rating could not be justified at the moment when it is unclear wht the footfall will be like on the high street, in airport and at railway stations once we re-open. There are lots of reasons why simply opening up does not mean revenues will return to previous levels | makinbuks
22/4/2021 11:58 | Should be £21 + by now nowhere near precovid price | leedslad001 |
