27/3/2017 13:19 | Has any of you any thoughts on how Wey Education can get their message across to the public about the services they offer. I only heard of Wey by looking at various blogs and web sites but was not looking for "Education" particularly but where I could make some money. Wey needs to get its message across somehow to the general public. I think it has a great product but cannot see how it can advertise itself easily. For it to progress the share price northwards it needs some form of outlet (imo) It looks like a very slow day again with it dropping on a sale of around 18000 shares | 666james
25/3/2017 11:17 | ..another £30M new school for just 900 pupils. Just think of the money saved using WEY education, (no more pollution caused by the school run), the better exam results (top 15%), and no more bullys in the play ground just your local friends that you feel comfortable with. Its a no brainer - WEY education (and schools like it) will just grow and grow and grow. I cannot see anything in the way, its a clear, blue skys, product. | netcurtains
24/3/2017 10:43 | Nice 10,250 buy... by me. Hehehe | ch4p_85
23/3/2017 08:34 | No trades but still marked down. I think it got a bit of ahead of itself in the last rise | 666james
23/3/2017 06:42 | At the very least Haverstock shows why WEY economically speaking (as well as intellectually speaking) is such a good idea. It cost £21M to just build the building at Haverstock!!! Never mind run the school each year. From the above Wikipedia link: The school is Camden's first private finance initiative (PFI) school and underwent a £21 million re-build in 2006 If you look at the Camden council link you will find that it probably educates no more pupils than WEY. Pound for pound WEY is probably 10 times as cheap with just as good results. | netcurtains
22/3/2017 20:05 | 666james: Its the HARD copy and its on the first BUSINESS PAGE... I think (but not sure) the school name is: Haverstock School Are they American owned? Financed? Ah, found the link on advfn .... This HICL company built the school and now they have raised £260M.. I guess to build more stuff... Does not look like competition - but not certain. HICL looks a good company. Worth a punt perhaps. | netcurtains
22/3/2017 19:02 | Net, I have had a look at the evening standard on google but I cannot see anything to do with schools only the bad attack in Westminster. | 666james
22/3/2017 18:18 | In tonights evening standard it says the owners of a school in Camden raised £230 million (only glimpsed the article so might be wrong). Anyone got a link? Cheers Net | netcurtains
22/3/2017 06:56 | interesting day today | netcurtains
21/3/2017 17:59 | Hi bones many thanks for the link. I had only looked at ADVFN trades which shows, now, over 6oo,ooo traded. At the time of writing the post it was showing less and was around the £60,000 range. However, you showing me the NEX list means a lot more was traded. But this NEX list does not include my dealings. So I am somewhat confused as to how many shares have been traded today. I am somewhat new to the share dealings so any thoughts I would be very pleased to read. | 666james
21/3/2017 17:01 | 666james, over 350,000 were traded on NEX Exchange (used to be ISDX) today, including two of my three purchases. Note that 175,000 shares were sold at 9.5p in the morning which probably explains the early weakness as MM's sought to find a level for them. | bones
21/3/2017 16:39 | Barley £60,000 worth traded today and it still dropped around 7%....is this what is known on these boards as a "shake" by the market makers ? | 666james
21/3/2017 13:03 | Took the remaining 15k from the last MM @ 11p. Trying to fill the rest above that. | bones
21/3/2017 12:27 | Bought a few at 10.6 and 10.9. Took an MM off the 11p offer, leaving just the one there. | bones
21/3/2017 12:12 | back in for some more now. | 666james
21/3/2017 10:57 | yup, looking also for 8p entry...may not get there, let's see gla | qs99
21/3/2017 10:37 | If this gets as low as 8.5/9p I will add some more for a long term hold. | ny boy
21/3/2017 10:35 | ch4p very true | 666james
21/3/2017 10:23 | Hold steadyNice to have a drop occasionally. | ch4p_85
21/3/2017 09:48 | dropping on only under 55000 shares traded. With only 23% available shares is there something going on to get PI to get rid of their holdings? | 666james
20/3/2017 22:33 | dropping on very low turnover of shares (less than 325,000) | 666james
20/3/2017 16:16 | might test lows at some point over the next week or so. Hope so. I'll buy some more (if I can time it right). | netcurtains
20/3/2017 11:37 | PS: IMO, the potential here is enormous. At the moment most of the revenue is from the UK operation, but I think most of the revenue in 5 years’ time will come from outside the UK. The first step for the business is to change the old mind set from OFSTED and be considered for a full inspection. If an inspection took place and InterHigh achieved a 2 or even a 1. That could be an excellent boost to its prospects. The next thing the business needs is good exam results for the IGCSE and A level subjects from its current students. Something around 10% above national standards/benchmark would be great including excellent retention above 90-95% for A level students. Finally, the WEY might also consider becoming an awarding body for all IGCSE and A level subjects. This will be difficult because there are a lot awarding bodies. However, If one considers that many awarding bodies are not very good and that many colleges/schools are moving away from Pearson at the moment due to various reasons, WEY could potentially fill the void now that they have set up the Academic Advisory Board. | luanorte75 |
