31/8/2017 07:55 | Well Bones, congrats on your astute investment so far. I'm sure if it were to be a post-tax profit they would have mentioned it. But seems a sensible punt, so I may open a small position if I can. Ta. | runthejoules
31/8/2017 07:54 | Oh dear PI gone quiet again lol | ny boy
31/8/2017 07:47 | just calling it as I see it as I always do. yes this is a growth story but my point is , is it enough growth to justify the £21m market cap? I'm not sure it is and I don't think this is another ASOS as the market is not that big for a start as ASOS! anyway, like the concept, may miss the boat, have had a good ride in this and GLA!! Cheers | qs99
31/8/2017 07:37 | Runthejoules,1. I would hope not. He must realise that such a move would be a poor sign. I know that David Massie has huge ambitions for WEY's future size.2. A growing company that has just turned a profit is presumably going to accumulate cash rather than need to raise it. Their only real growing cost element is teachers now that the IT platform is established.3. I have plenty already thanks! | bones
31/8/2017 07:34 | What matters at this stage of their development is revenue growth which at 50% reported looks excellent to me.All the setting up costs appear to have been covered now which suggests to me that the profits should accelerate from here due to operational leverage. Will buy more whenever the opportunity arises! | nurdin
31/8/2017 07:30 | Sounds like a good update to me, anticipating PRE-TAX profit. I was looking at this a week ago and forgot to buy / research further before TU due. I like it but have a rule of only investing in companies that are actually making a maiden post-tax profit, adn there is no moat but the first mover status. I do have a couple of questions for you gang: 1. Is Massey going to sell any shares for a quick 500% profit iyho? 2. They've got £909,000 in the bank. Is that enough or is there going to be a fund-raise - what's their cash burn like? 3. Are you buying more today? :-) GLA. | runthejoules
31/8/2017 07:23 | oh dearie me.... another informative and well thought out contribution from someone, who judging by their profusion of posts in sub penny shares could reasonably be described as a BB junkie/stock trader with devastating self interest at heart. | marisotter
31/8/2017 07:20 | QS99, I believe people said the same about ASOS in its early days when it was a few pennies in share price. Now about £60 each.Hard to judge the long term share price of a company in its early stages when growth could be huge over time.Sure, there may be a reaction to the downside short term so agreed that an opportunity to accumulate may arise. This is though the kind of share to hold given the narrow market in AIM.All IMHO. | bones
31/8/2017 07:08 | capitalised at £21m, probably only just made a profit based on that RNS, I would be very careful holding this IMO as it looks way up with events. May be proved wrong, am a supported and have held as you know, but had sold out in 20s after an amazing ride and will, if share price lower tuck some away again....GLA | qs99
30/8/2017 13:10 | Crank up the vols, let's go on another 12+ day rally and take out the previous recent high. | ny boy
30/8/2017 12:07 | Hey, PI, missed the boat...again 😂 | ny boy
30/8/2017 12:03 | bones: I was thinking that, but lets see. I did remember the example he used about mobile banking in West Africa. The chairman stated that west africa consumers are about tens times more savvy or advanced, call it what you will, compared to UK consumers of banking services. In the same way, the internet school market is something that potentially could "explode" amongst the African middle classes far faster than here, in the more staid UK environment. | netcurtains
30/8/2017 11:58 | They are keen on Africa, that much we heard from the meeting, Netcurtains. | bones
30/8/2017 11:41 | ..using the chairman's original "chinese" example (2015 - about 4,000 students) but applying it to the "grammar school" (£6k a year) would give WEY a potential £24 million from China (alone). I do not expect to hear any news about china in this business update (but its possible) - much more likely this will be a news item in 2018. However there is something, possible, in the wind, concerning "overseas" business. Perhaps I'm seeing too much into the odd word or two but who knows. Lets see. | netcurtains
30/8/2017 09:22 | Market update, reckon we hear something very soon, probably early next week. | ny boy
29/8/2017 16:18 | Fresh Buyers or those adding will step up here, decent retrace to support level as mentioned a while back I guess PI will miss the boat. | ny boy
29/8/2017 15:01 | ....if you think about it, InterHigh could do well out of Brexit. If EU school children (say Poles) can no longer come to UK schools then the only real option left to them, if they want a UK education for their kids, is InterHigh WEY Education ought to put an ad in a glossy Polish magazine or web site. | netcurtains
29/8/2017 14:11 | hmmm.....a very sage and informative comment there..........and your point is? :)? | marisotter
29/8/2017 14:02 | There's the classic 50% retracement after a spike like that. Funny how even thinly traded AIM charts can follow the more general pattern. I'd be tempted at this level, like NY Boy, but with the political situation so touchy, think we might be in for a market pullback that will be hard to buck | microscope
29/8/2017 13:19 | Toppy uppy timey!! | ny boy
25/8/2017 16:34 | lower and lower anybody ready WITH ME at sub 20? | the patient investor
25/8/2017 14:58 | Buying alert time! | ny boy
25/8/2017 14:14 | Hold on, radar time , heading towards support and adding zone, 19p area | ny boy
25/8/2017 13:29 | Tick tock, market update on the way, possibly end of next week. GLA | ny boy |
