A useful rule of thumb for growth stocks (that never go up in straight lines) is that after a major advance the stock will re-trace about 33% of the gain.

Looking at WEY, it went up from 12.5p to 27p or thereabouts ie a 14.5p increase. So I'd be looking for a pullback of some 5p to buy in again. Anything under 22p will tempt me.

No idea, I only buy, pay for the stock in the normal way.

Not really a trading stock, just one to buy at the best price possible and sit on them to develop

NY Boy: 17 days to end of August. I think, in olden days T+10 was a thing (you could buy but not pay for 10 days).... So One would potentially expect some tick up in 7 or 8 days time by T+10 people (if they still exist). I think it was called "day trading" but in reality it was closer 10 day trading.

Do people still do this?

Certainly holding up well but buying interest dried up until we see certain support levels hit, of course they may not happen if positive news flow breaks and the next leg up is underway.

Not many sellers around and it's the peak 2 summer holiday weeks of August so thin vols. The CEO mentioned the possibility for a brief update last week of August but maybe they wait until everyone is back at their desks first.

Following on from the above link - a thought.

"IF" WEY can be to secondary schools what the OU is to Universities.

The OU has 168,215 students (that is about 168 times the size of where WEY is now).

Thus if WEY can make about £500K profit now-ish out of about 1000 students, its potential, when fully grown (OU size) is to make £84 million profit.

Obviously it might not get to OU size or it might grow far bigger, but as an investor one must recognise that the potential is there - the OU sort of proves that the model works and is scalable to vary large numbers.

This is potentially an important story.

A link to Wey Education and the Open University.

Its possible, that over the months and years, a relationship between
WEY and the Open University might develop.

This is the bit of interest:

She frequently assisted OU staff with their technical or user training issues and she was also able to expertly guide her peers in the use of online tools.

that small "buy" of 4858 is down as a "sell" but that was me just topping up.

Reduce holding before results are announced or cover yourself as they are seldom as good as the rumour suggests and get pushed higher on hope rather than factI'm sure that clear enough even for a clown like you

Net I don't think Mick was referring to you as a ramper. I reckon he was talking about TPI. The info you have given on this site has been really helpful to me and I make my own decisions with (using Micks words) "taking a stake that you are comfortable with". This is exactly what you need to do IMHO. I think you call this quiet day (at the moment) "taking a breather".
I am looking forward to the results.

As an experienced investor I very rarely post on bulletin boards but when I see obsessive ramping or deramping in this case I take that as a sign that someone has an ulterior motive and that my original view was right. So I would suggest you stop worrying - take a stake that your comfortable with and increase or decrease as the story unfolds. Well done and good luck to all holders for spotting the potential here.

Think wey has held up very well today with what was a turbulent day with many stocks getting hit. I expected more selling after the 100k sell early on , so for me personally very happy to hold at current levels as I see no signs of top slicing profits at the moment.
