25/11/2018 09:23 | OK so you were wrong buywel3, its 9p. I dont see your point? I doubt anyone has lost money by your post. Dont worry about it. WEY Education is an investment not a day trade. If you believe in the huge potentialy of internet education then WEY is the only UK quoted company. You put your money down and believe in a few years it will be huge. Indeed this year could easily be the break through year (see current annual report). Scroll down their twitter page: | netcurtains
25/11/2018 02:02 | I don't post these things to try to upset folks advfn should be about posters helping each other as a community However posts like this one usually attract ridicule ... to be fair netcurtains was one of the few that was ok with views of others buywell3 - 14 May 2018 - 15:27:17 - 1029 of 1629 WEY Education - The Future - WEY 12p chartwise looks likely IMO | buywell3
23/11/2018 13:44 | This is actually very good news for WEY Education. The more people that visit Crickhowell the more people will see WEY Education. Having your town be named the BEST TOWN in the UK is certainly a boost any way you look at it. | netcurtains
23/11/2018 10:56 | I would hope that our insti holders will have some say in who takes over permanently. | superadams
22/11/2018 16:23 | Not good news regarding David but I wish him well. I feel this could drift in the next few days until we hear of the way forward for the company. | 666james
21/11/2018 13:58 | I don't think so. They have already said they are not forecasting any significant income from foreign earnings this year and today's update makes it clear that trading in the core business is strong. | bigboyblue
21/11/2018 13:42 | I can see profit warning coming | kaka47
21/11/2018 10:08 | Saddened by the news and wish David a full recovery. I guess the market is spooked because he has been seen as the driving force behind the company, and his contacts in Nigeria in particular and China to an extent were important, though neither of these were expected to bring in much in the way of profit in 2018-19. In monetary terms the fall looks way overdone to me. it's a difficult market generally right now, but I'm watching for an opportunity to add | microscope
21/11/2018 08:28 | really sorry to hear that news. wishing him a speedy recovery | 666james
21/11/2018 08:18 | Understandable people selling.Given the core strength of the UK businesses and the fact that David's departure won't impact that I'm considering adding at these levels. | mcfly79
21/11/2018 07:57 | I think this may mean the company focuses on its core UK businesses for a while.Jacqueline was already running InterHigh and the UK B2B business I believe, so no great disruption there. | mcfly79
21/11/2018 07:53 | Agreed,Best wishes to him for a good recovery. | mcfly79
21/11/2018 07:52 | Terrible news about David let’s wish him well for the future. RM | rampmeister
16/11/2018 09:23 | The way I see it is, in these difficult times, we want companies that: a) make a profit b) have lots of money in the bank c) growing fast d) undervalued WEY ticks all those four boxes - and it would probably have to be over 23p before it lost one of the four (but even that is not certain - depends on growth). This is the year WEY is expected to take off (profit wise). Lets see. definitely time to consider doubling/trebling/qu | netcurtains
16/11/2018 08:53 | Heading towards 10p initially and then towards 7p | hamidahamida
14/11/2018 09:19 | School budgets continue to be squeezed (more than half of Academies are in the red), OFSTED increasing scrutiny on off-rolling and PT Timetables, Home Ed etc. Unclear how that might impact IH numbers... Would be interested to hear what the management have to say about that. Off-rolling is a significant issue, IMO and gaining momentum. A significant part of IH model is aimed at AC provision. DYOR. 13/11/2018 19:41 | Interesting LATE update of photo too.... | netcurtains
13/11/2018 17:32 | One big sell at 8am of ~145000 continues to drag the share price down. Interesting article Net. The 1300 figure in the article is 300 more than that quoted on WEY’s website. WEY noted record InterHigh numbers in their final results but I can’t find any projected InterHigh figures for this academic year. | jonbirdy
13/11/2018 12:13 | Really good article on WEY Education in Kensington and Chelsea Today: | netcurtains
08/11/2018 10:55 | I am no chartist but it does seem to have found a bottom round about 12.5p. With fundamentals seemingly improving I think a steady rise (rather than break out) is on the cards. At around about 14 - 14.25p we could be into golden cross territory which would again be positive. I am well under water on this but happy to be holding for now | montyville2
08/11/2018 10:32 | Chart looks like entering breakout territory but word of warning my T/A skills are virtually nonexistent and no spur visible yet to spark rise into mid teens. Is there are chartist in the house? RM | rampmeister
08/11/2018 10:00 | Hi Net, I’d agree. As noted here, it’s all about next year really and what’s delivered in the UK. | jonbirdy
08/11/2018 09:25 | jonbirdy: you could argue that the WEY concept works best for middle class people andd aspiring people on a TIGHT BUDGET. | netcurtains
07/11/2018 20:10 | I hope to be proved wrong, but I don’t feel too confident for much improvement in share price this year. As for the yet to be launched Chinese JV, then a Chinese recession is looking increasingly likely and their economy is very leveraged. | jonbirdy
02/11/2018 06:55 | Technology very good for WEY | netcurtains |
