I stopped watching TV once I realised it was a conduit for propaganda - certainly nowadays. I don't know whether it took me a long time to figure it out or it just became so much more obvious in recent years...

Television did the trick right? Imagine 350 million years without a television to feed you your opinions and beliefs ?

He needs to turn up the volume on those screens and start showing plenty more sport instead of Sky News droning on with its repeats, then he might attract a few younger folk. Spoons just full of cheapskates and the grey pound out for low prices, bless them! Will confess the price of a pint a big draw, providing you drink the session ales.

The thing that could keep people away more than a 40p rise is hospital rates of 14,000 a week by August ,and millions of people told to isolate after contacts of infected people .As I've always said there doesn't need to be lockdown to keep people away from pubs .

Wetherspoon says 12.5% VAT will mean 40p increase in meal price

In a trading update, the pub group accused UK governments of "robbing the poor (in this case pubs and restaurants) to help the rich (supermarkets)" and described it as "undoubted unfairness" that supermarkets do not pay VAT on food but pubs and restaurants pay 20%.
