I am at the point of giving up on the Government's handling of all this. Maybe I am being harsh as it is more like the 50 or so Medical Experts telling us what to do. If they could all agree, I might take notice. All the different statistics we are being fed.... Only seem to tell half the story. If I catch it through carelessness, my stupid fault... My only concern would be passing it on.... Anybody had a cold yet? Anybody had Flu, as we know it, yet?

How about these then lol Hertz, Whiting Petroleum, Pier 1 and J.C. Penney, which all declared bankruptcy amid the pandemic, saw their shares surging at least 70% each in Monday's trading alone, some of which more than doubling.

BBC Covid: Pub industry warns it faces 'darkest of moments' Published 11 hours ago Britain's major pub groups and brewers have pleaded with Prime Minister Boris Johnson to save an industry facing the "darkest of moments". Executives at Fuller's, Carlsberg UK, Greene King, and Heineken UK are among more than 50 signatories of a letter warning of huge job losses. They call on him to publish the evidence justifying the coronavirus restrictions on the industry. A Downing Street spokesperson said they would respond in due course. The letter says: "The pub is clearly being singled out for exceptionally harsh and unjustified treatment and unless your government changes course, and soon, huge portions of this most British of institutions will simply not be there come the spring. "We believe it is in the interests of openness and transparency that any evidence showing pubs to be the source of outbreaks of the virus, and thereby justifying these extra restrictions, must be published immediately." The letter comes ahead of a planned announcement on Thursday that could see two-thirds of the country placed into tiers two or three when the current lockdown lifts next month. Pubs in tier two areas will be able to serve drinks only to customers having a substantial meal, and those in tier three will not be able to open. Pubs, and the hospitality industry generally, have been among the hardest-hit sectors during lockdown. More than a third of hospitality firms say they have little or no confidence of surviving the next three months, according to data collected by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) earlier this month. sign in Sohoimage copyrightGetty Images Other signatories to the letter include executives at Adnams, Marston's, Budweiser UK, Punch Pubs, Shepherd Neame and Young's. They tell the PM they employ "hundreds of thousands of people and contribute billions of pounds of economic value to the UK economy - all of this is at risk today". "Your Winter Plan, compounded by the Christmas announcement, have been greeted with utter dismay and incredulity by publicans up and down the country, and made the situation facing us exponentially worse," they say. "How can it be that people mixing in unregulated private homes is deemed safer than gathering in limited numbers in larger, regulated and ultimately Covid-secure venues like pubs? There is no logic to this decision. "It is clear that pubs are being scapegoated despite a lack of available evidence that they are any more responsible for outbreaks than other types of venue. We cannot stand idly by and allow these measures to destroy our businesses." If restrictions cannot be relaxed, the pubs are demanding, among other things, financial support in line with the first lockdown, immediate changes to business rates, and a cut in the "punitively high" beer duty rate.

Johnson you have ruined us. No incentive to do business in the UK. Another 6 months of this tiered lockdown nonsense too. Only solution I can see is a change at the top for a clear way ahead.Billions wasted by a bunch of incompetent ministers and the tax payer yet again pays the price. No one accountable and incompetence again rewarded..

Https://beertoday.co.uk/tiers-letters-1120/ Boris ‘playing the part of Caesar in a Coliseum’ by Darren | Thursday, 26 November, 2020 | Beer News, Business News, Pubs and Bars Today, pubs up and down the land will find out their fate for the foreseeable as details of new tiers, post-lockdown, are published. Now that’s a substantial meal … To say lack of faith in government within the hospitality industry is running high would be something of an understatement. The latest to weigh in is Kris Gumbrell, chief executive of Brewhouse and Kitchen, who has written to all his venues’ MPs. In a stinging letter, he says businesses are “living in fear” waiting for today’s announcement. “Effectively, the prime minister is playing the part of Caesar in a Coliseum, deciding which business lives, and which dies, underpinned by an egocentric assertion that this is a ‘gift’ Christmas to a wide public. This is utter nonsense. “The lack-of-evidence-based, arbitrary decision making, with only ‘lip service’ consultation to trade bodies, will be remembered as one of the great flaws in the government’s handling of the crisis.” In a well crafted missive, he goes on to add that, even offering the substatial meal, operating in tier 2 is unviable, and that the plans for household mixing could see people getting together privately in an unregulated manner, rather than in a covid-secure venue. He also expresses sympathy for those pubs who don’e serve food, and says that grants available are not adequate for businesses. Read the full text of the letter here. ‘The future of hundreds of breweries and thousands of pubs hangs in the balance’ Meanwhile, more than 50 pub and brewing businesses — members of the British Beer and Pub Association — have written to the prime minister telling him pubs are being ‘scapegoated’ and could be lost forever, unless he takes action. The letter states: “The pub is clearly being singled out for exceptionally harsh and unjustified treatment, and unless your government changes course, and soon, huge portions of this most British of institutions will simply not be there come the spring.” After setting out many business points, it concludes: “We cannot overstate how serious the situation facing our staff, communities and businesses is at this stage. The future of hundreds of breweries and thousands of pubs hangs in the balance. “The focal point of countless communities in every region of the UK could be lost forever — the social consequences of that do not bear thinking about. It would be nothing less than heartbreaking if, having survived through the last nine months, working tirelessly to put in place countless safety measures, pubs now face ruin with the end of the pandemic in sight. “Moreover, the support the government has given us up to this point would all be for nothing, a colossal waste of resource, only to end up in a much worse position than we were just a few months ago. The looming disaster is avoidable, but only if you act now.”

It looks like Google, Facebook, Twitter and the BBC will get their wish that they have canpained for to have a Communist/Socialist government ruling America.. Bloody alarming that anyone in business would support such a regime. Biden has pledged to raise taxes-impoverish America, will support Communist China give Iran a free pass to its bomb and flood America with immigration from the third world. Only fools will invest in America now. Enjoy the socialism and communism and loss of freedom you apparently wanted.
