after disposals by GE, it will have billions in the bank. It will be looking for good takeover targets. They can easily buy WEIR which will be at a big discounted price at todays price.

now that GE has spare cash after disposal, they can easily grab WEIR group.

Results not too bad - looks like a slight beat on earnings. But guidance is a bit depressing ("significant reduction in constant currency Group revenues and lower operating margins in 2015") and may be worse than is currently factored in to the price.

The 22% is on the bar at the bottom of the slide numbered 10 (page 11 of the presentation). "US shale oil c. 22% of Group revenues"

I think it is calculated as 75% of 67% of 45% (i.e. the "North American Oil" share of the "Pressure Pumping & Pressure Control" share of the "Oil & Gas").

Thanks for the link 1gw. I agree that it looks much like a presentation put together before the oil slump and not subsequently tweeked1!
Bit confused on your comment 22% page 10, which appears to be a photo and the page 11 states 45% of revenue comes from Oil & Gas - 2014 H1.
Still 'early days' in my research. Any comments welcome.

So buying a few at £25.44 and hoping for a short squeeze hasn't worked out. Now buying a few more at about £18 and hoping for a bounce (in the oil price and the share price).

Not sure what to make of today's presentation. Although fairly upbeat in tone, it has the feel of a presentation put together at a much higher oil price. 22% of revenue from US shale oil (slide 10) with the Goldman Sachs new field breakeven cost analysis chart (slide 4) isn't very encouraging when you overlay today's oil price on the chart, particularly when another 36% of revenue is coming from the minerals business, which faces its own commodity price challenges.

Daily Mail Market Report saying that pump manufacturer Weir Group are falling with the oil price.
Lower oil price , less fracking in the U.S. which may decrease the demand for pumps !
DYOR etc.
