15/10/2014 10:53 | Here we go, Should have kept the short position open at 2625p on the sprike created by Citi's "take-over target" incantation. Learning and all that. I shall not make the same mistake with Fenner, which are battling with more depressed end-markets - whether replacement or OEM. | alphahunter
19/9/2014 08:06 | Well, a bit of relief this morning then for Weir amongst others. | 1gw
16/9/2014 08:16 | 1gw:. Currency risk - political uncertainty - and increased taxes long term to pay for the "political promises" (bribes) | pugugly
08/9/2014 19:21 | On what basis pugugly? Customers still want the products and services I would have thought. Are you implying European business could suffer somehow through being out of the EU? | 1gw
08/9/2014 07:23 | Anyone any thougths as to what happens to Weir share price if Scotland votes YES ?? Edited 20 minutes after market opened - Market seems to be marking down and answering my question. Next one - how much will it fall ? 10% or 20%. | pugugly
03/9/2014 14:57 | Talking to myself over here, but hey, the price is going up... Close to a 52 wk high, upgraded by Credit Suisse and still 4.5% disclosed short position. Ouch! | 1gw

07/7/2014 08:18 | Stopped loss here :-(. Another of these take-over rumor? Trading at 18x PE. Caterpillar never went over 15x. Learning, living and all that. EDIT: Ah yes, the first-in-class argument developped by Citigroup this am, PT raised over £30. Heard that argument about FENR by Credit Suisse and others last year at 425p, with PT in the 480p - 500p range. I feel that the valuation is beyond reason, but will let the momentum run further before reconsidering a short position. | alphahunter
02/7/2014 12:59 | Just openend a speculative short position at 2625p - on valuation ground and earnings & currency risks. Nothing more. | alphahunter

12/5/2014 16:14 | Yes, I think so too, but there must be seller at £27, as it bounces straight back every time. | peawacks
12/5/2014 15:50 | Cannot get past £27 at the present time ! | peawacks
06/5/2014 18:57 | Share price has recovered to where it was before Thursday's IMS. Could do with a few broker upgrades now to get things motoring. | 1gw
06/5/2014 16:08 | HOUSTON (May 6, 2014) - Weir Oil & Gas and the Rolls-Royce Power Systems company MTU announced they have signed an agreement to develop power systems specifically engineered for hydraulic fracturing. Weir is the leading manufacturer of hydraulic fracturing pumps, and MTU is a market leader in heavy-duty industrial diesel engines. The system will be used for hydraulic fracking operations during the well completion stage of shale oil and gas projects. | peawacks
30/4/2014 19:06 | Like it or not, the lust for fracking equipment worldwide will take this higher & higher in the next few years. World class company ! | peawacks
30/4/2014 16:50 | Looks like a heck of a chart pattern to me. A good IMS tomorrow followed by short-closing and this could go a lot further. But hope they don't spook the market with the likely impact of forex hits and that they haven't taken their eye off the ball while they were chasing Metso. | 1gw |
