Us listing and valuation. I am not sure I buy the argument that the stock gets a better value on the Ndx. It trades at over £300 mn which if you ex out the ALM piece ( which nobody cares about) , looks to me about 30x sales ...

At £15 we are north of £600 mn ... I note that US unicorns are trying to IPO sat 10x ... implying wand team would have to be posting £60 mn revenues to justify such valuations ... we will get higher prices when we start beating and raising and reporting quarterly numbers .. and we won’t care where it is listed ...

Hopefully the ops update will be early next week and will be good news. I wonder when a new Edison report will be published and if it will have revised forecasts for this financial year.

some large buys going through after the earlier profit taking. Not the time to be out of WAND which was at £15 a while back when it had no track record.

Good to see an II increasing its holding by 2m+ shares. Looking good.

I am beginning to get a whiff of a US listing. The marketing seems to have changed recently - I have sensed a tonal change in it (if that is the correct expression). Look at Wandisco on You Tube. A few more videos on there explaining the 'personality' of the company with definite US feel. (Unfortunately quite a low view count).

The latest PR about Envestnet and Yodlee (US companies) seemed v US oriented. "WANdisco is igniting a Live Data movement worldwide."

It is beginning to look and feel like a US company.

I wouldn't be surprised if concrete plans for a US listing are announced in next update. If not then, then certainly this year.

Pure speculation of course.

Can't value them on normal metrics. They have a unique IP. And now the OEM agreements are kicking in. Big Data and IOT huge market. Would be multiples of current price if listed in the states. Personally don't think listing there will happen anytime soon. But huge prospects nonetheless. Imo and dyor

Last year's was on 16th so early next week sounds about right and get a positive one in before the presentation would be ideal.

Unless a date has been given for the update (rather than looking at last year's), it could appear at any time.
There's not been any suspicious large sells (as often happens on AIM), so it looks as if its all systems go for a very positive statement.

Nimbo 1Your analysis of Wandisco and,in particular, the possibility of a Nasdaq quote is in my opinion absolutely spot on.

Nimbo, Mr Richards did say at the investor presentation if we were listed on NASDAQ the market cap would be a lot higher. That said, just looking at the financials would say this is well overvalued but that doesn't tell the story. An interesting few months ahead.

Good to be back from being underwater for a while, had to resist the temptation to get even more overweight not knowing which way the market is going. It appears the bulls are in charge again, bought some BOO (buy one company get two free) and for the divi, some JIM (23.5p last year, share price 510p)

tickboo my thoughts are as follows. Given the recent contract win we should now start to believe the IBM guy that the pipeline from them alone is very large. Wand probably now have the balance sheet and enough customer traction to float on Nasdaq. Anything vaguely interesting and tech looking in the states can attract a $1 billion + market cap quite easily....so that should not be beyond wand as a market cap at some point within a couple of years imo only.

Some nice funky buys, 25k and 2x30ks. Let's hope next week's update is good and we can head towards £9 and double figures. Exciting times.

I think that could have been achieved at £7.50...but anyway, we're back on track now with a chart target of £15 this year imo.

Possibly the US investors wanted in at a particular level and they knew it would be over subscribed but wanted the balance sheet stronger and to employ more engineers and channel sales managers ASAP as they have decent leads but the clients wanted more assurance. The $4m+ deal seems to illustrate that. Anyway, onwards and upwards from here. Fair play to the BoD for selling shares to ensure it was a 'UK' raise.

They may be tech whizzes but financially naive.
Ah well, soon back to £10.

Tickboo; I suspect that deep down investors are still wondering about the timing of the raise... if they had a blow out q to come why raise money ahead of that .. personally I would want to go to the market post or coincident with that event.. great numbers the stock would/could be able to absorb a capital raise without loss of pre raise announcement levels ... .. I would be in that camp .. hence that lack of conviction from investors .. hope I am wrong.
